Do you find it harder to trust Blogging advice now ?

Hello,

I have noticed that whenever I looking for blogging advice, I find completely different opinions on the same topic.

One person says publish more content, another says publish less and focus more on quality. Some recommend SEO first while other says social media is important.

A few years ago it is easier to know what to focus on but now there is so much advice which makes it difficult to tell what actually works and what does not ?

Has anyone else felt this way ?

Yes for sure, I mean one way to rank super quickly is to make AI generate u hundreds of thousands of unique pages of content using eg. a free public API. This weekend for example I made a quick Carfax alternative for fun and had AI make me 300k pages using public car recall data and other public APIs. Obviously it’s very likley to just suddenly drop in traffic after a few months but since every page is unique with unique content, that happens slower.
 
I think there is just too much recycled advice online now. The same tips get repeated everywhere, even by people who have not actually tested them. Nowadays, I pay more attention to real case studies and my own experiments than general blogging advices available online.
 
I agree. These days there is so much advice that can make anyone confused easily. I usually pay more attention to people who share real results instead of repeating common topics.

I totally get your frustration, there’s way too much conflicting blogging advice floating around online these days.I’ve had the exact same confusion trying to pick a clear strategy to stick with.
 
You're definitely not the only one. My advice will be to stop chasing every opinion and stick with one strategy long enough to collect your own data. Test, measure, adjust, and let your results guide you instead of constantly switching directions.
 
yeah, the safest filter is whether the advice shows the context. advice for an affiliate blog, local site, or news blog can all be true and still not apply to your project.
 
Honestly yes. The blogging space has changed so much that old tips don’t always work anymore. I trust advice more when I see recent examples or real results behind it.
 
There is too musch advice out there. I will say just pick one path either SEO or social media. master that one thing first and turn off all the other noisee.
 
consistent publishing is the most important. just make sure every new article is slightly better than your last one. try sharing it on social media first to check the actual engagement, and then slowly build niche-relevant backlinks over time.

Yeah, I think this is one of the hardest parts of blogging now. There is so much advice that works for one niche but may not work for another.

I've found it's better to focus on the basics first - understanding your audience, creating useful content, and testing what actually brings results instead of following every new trend.
 
Yes is harder to trust all these blogger as most of them are sponsorized and also there was a lot of bad reputation and scams going
 
from what i have seen there is much more conflicting advice now because every niche and website behaves differently i usually pay more attention to people sharing real results over a long period instead of following every new trend or strategy that appears online
 
I completely understand how you feel. This contradiction stems from the fact that everyone achieves success in a different way. There's no absolute formula, only the strategy that best suits your resources at any given time. Choose a path, persevere in experimenting and find the most effective answer for yourself.
 
I feel the same There’s no one size fits all approach anymore so I rely more on testing what works for my own sites than following every new piece of blogging advice.
 
half the conflicting advice is just expired - it was true in 2019, or pre-AI-overviews, and nobody timestamps it. so you get a "worked for me" case study and it really did work, just in a SERP that doesn't exist anymore. these days i don't look at whether it's a real result so much as when it happened, and on what kind of site. no date + no context = i scroll past. that filter alone cuts most of the noise.
 
The only way to judge blog is to possess deep knowledge of its subject matter and observe how the blog addresses that topic, I gather data, read from multiple sources, and make my own decisions

mostly four things, fast: when it ran - and whether an algo update or AI-overviews landed between then and now (that alone kills half the 2023 case studies). what kind of site it was on - an aged authority domain and a 3-month-old one behave nothing alike, so "this worked" means nothing without it. whether it's one site or something they actually repeated. and whether they show the mechanism or just the line going up - "traffic doubled" with no timeframe or before/after, i don't even finish reading. give me the when, the where, and what you actually changed, and then it's worth a test.
