Anyone else seeing 2x-3x increase in CPC and RPM in Adsense?

I have noticed a drastic fall in organic traffic this month and the Adsense earnings declined as well. However, the Adsense CPC and RPM increased 2x-3x times in the last 3-4 days which coincides with the Google June 2026 spam update. The traffic remained same, so I don't think if the site is recovering from May core update. I ran a backlink campaign this month as soon as I noticed a drop in traffic. So, there are a lot of parameters (2 algorithm updates and 1 backlink campaign) for me to identify the exact reason for the increase in CPC and RPM.

If anyone else saw a surge in earnings, we can identify the reasons and implement the same across all sites

too many variables stacked at once to isolate cleanly, but adsense rpm spikes during update volatility happen a lot, advertiser demand shifts weird during these windows

I had to exclude the unknown demographic because of bots unfortunately. Now i barely use half my budget

To be very honest its common for cpc and rpm to increase when traffic goes down. It means less people are visiting and whoever is clicking generally you gets better click rate. Sometimes traffic is quality traffic too.
