Advice + Questions on Marketing my app

Hey!

For the past month or so i've been working on a new application thats like Wallpaper Engine but for Mac OS.
It has a free version with PRO Subscriptions and it by far surpasses any other app that is out there for live wallpapers on Mac OS ( Battery Optimization, Thousands of FULL HD/4K Wallpapers , Lock Screen Support etc. ).

So the only thing im lacking is marketing..
I already built a website with the download page and i made a blog where i will post to boost my SEO
I also have a system in the app where you can join our discord/Share on twitter etc to get a discount when buying premium
I thought of a couple ways to market my app but i want to hear YOUR advice on how i should do it ( You are the real experts )

I would appreciate if you took some time to write below any ideas or advice you could give me on this journey!

Running mass accounts doing what exactly??

post about your journey on reddit.

just post what your are building and add a wow factor. what you think make your app unique.

and blast some upvotes, would make it more viral if your post is really good. don't overthink,

theres no strategy to viral content. just post something or reddit and thnaks me later.

paid ads are a money pit if you grind it solo without a massive budget. aso helps with conversion, but it won't drive enough volume to rank anymore. if your core metrics are good, look into app publishing instead of burning your own cash. teams like cas ai fully fund the user acquisition budget under rev-share so you can scale safely.

For this kind of app I’d go heavy on visual channels, not ads first. Short clips sell it way better than text... like “Mac setup before/after”, “OLED wallpaper pack”, “lock screen live wallpaper” etc. TikTok, IG reels, YouTube shorts, Pinterest even.

Also make a few landing pages around specific searches, not just blog posts. Stuff like “Wallpaper Engine alternative for Mac”, “live wallpapers for macbook”, “4k animated wallpapers macos” etc. Those keywords are probably easier than trying to rank some generic blog article.

One thing I’d add inside the app is a clean referral unlock, not just discord/twitter discount. People who customize desktops love sharing screenshots, so give them a reason to post their setup with your watermark/link somewhere subtle. If the product really looks good, that can snowball without needing to run 100 fake accounts and get banned everywhere.
