Does cloaking work? How effective is it? Paid traffic meta ads

I'd like to know how effective cloaking is. Does it really work? Any recommendations on which type to use? I have an SMM panel and I'd like to know if using cloaking would help me climb.

It can be effective, but i wouldn't rely on it as a growth strategy by itself. As for the type, managed solutions are usually easier for beginners, while self hosted setups offer more control if you know what you're doing.
