Looking to start a Movie website and I need some guidance.

Hey! Building a movie website with an API is a great way to get a lot of content quickly. The Movie Database (TMDb) API is a popular choice and fairly straightforward to integrate, offering comprehensive data on films, TV shows, cast, and more. You'll need to register for an API key and then use it to fetch and display data on your site.

For monetization, think beyond just display ads. Affiliate marketing with streaming services (like linking to where a movie can be watched on Amazon, Netflix, etc.) or selling movie-related merchandise can be very effective. You could also explore premium content, such as in-depth reviews, exclusive lists, or early access to new features, for a small membership fee.

Your Reddit traffic experience is valuable; apply that same community-focused approach. Identify specific subreddits for genres, cult films, or even actors, and share genuinely valuable content from your site. Combine this with solid on-page SEO for movie titles, actors, and genres to build long-term organic traffic.

Lol. You ask me for a complete A to Z tutorial that's why i tell you to get that complete ebook cz no one have this much time to give away free tutorials.
That's not the issue. You told me that you bought it from a seller here. You should encourage people to buy from him and not from you.

if someone is asking for complete tutorials and i am giving away that knowledge in 5$ instead of they paying 100$ for that. Is that good or bad ?

A basic movie site using API data alone won’t work well long-term it’s too generic and hard to rank. Use APIs for data, but add original content (reviews, lists, watch guides) and focus on a specific niche. Monetise with ads, affiliate links, and repeat traffic, not just one-time visits from Reddit.

movie sites are great for traffic but tough for ads. i'd suggest adding some niche tools or calculators on the side to capture leads for other offers while you grow

yeah, but you bought that knowledge from someone who paid for jr vip to sell his knowledge here, this is isn't the same.

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well.

I'm trying to figure out how to create a website dedicated to movies and monetize it. I've been going through the forum and noticed that a lot of people mention using an API to bring movie content onto the site. Lately, I’ve been promoting some stuff on Reddit and managed to drive a good amount of traffic to my site, so I thought I could do the same with a movie website.
If anyone can help me get started or share a post that explains the process clearly, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks a lot!.

Start with a reliable movie API for your data and focus on creating unique, valuable content. Once you have consistent traffic, you can monetize through ads or other suitable partnerships.

Wooow, i will really appreciate it, please help me with the codebase

Doodstream is fine for basic hosting, but if you're serious about fetching data and scaling, look into APIs. don't rely on manual uploads. you'll need a proper database and a backend to handle that. maybe a small VPS with docker could work for a start.

What are your methods for marketing these types of sites? I've written a lot about how to create them, but not much about how to promote them.
