Looking to start a Movie website and I need some guidance.

Maybe, you can use a drop down styled center with a like iframe feature in your movie site with a standard php related template.

With your wordpress posts in the center..maybe use a popout/popin overlay box on it as well. :D

you make movie like streaming , movie downaload, online movie watch , movie review , moview rating then do SEO and then make money with traffic .

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well.

I'm trying to figure out how to create a website dedicated to movies and monetize it. I've been going through the forum and noticed that a lot of people mention using an API to bring movie content onto the site. Lately, I’ve been promoting some stuff on Reddit and managed to drive a good amount of traffic to my site, so I thought I could do the same with a movie website.
If anyone can help me get started or share a post that explains the process clearly, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks a lot!
This is very difficult and requires a considerable amount of capital, my friend.

I just came back to BHW after a long time away, stopped using it because of all the AI bots spamming everything. I also just realized that movie streaming is still very much a thing.
I’m still running several streaming sites and generating passive income. It’s not like before, but it’s still good enough to make a living. When I have some free time, I’ll write a complete A–Z tutorial on how to start a movie streaming site in 2026.

As a beginner, you can start with vidapi.ru ( old vidmov that was closed for public and now upgraded ) Just buy domains on nja.la and generate sites from there. They provide unique plot descriptions, and it’s much easier to rank because about 90% of movie streaming sites use TMDB or IMDb to generate their plots.

It’s been a month now any updates? Have you launched your site or made any progress?

Yeah, that’s a pretty common approach for movie sites. Most people use something like the TMDb API to pull in data like titles, posters, ratings, and descriptions instead of writing everything manually. It saves a ton of time, but you still need to add your own value on top of it, otherwise it just ends up looking like a copy of every other site using the same data.

If you’re already getting traffic from Reddit, that’s actually a solid advantage. You could build around that by creating content people want to discuss, like rankings, reviews, or “best of” lists, rather than just listing movies. Pure database-style sites are harder to monetize unless you have massive traffic.

For monetization, most people start with ads or affiliate links (like linking out to where people can watch movies). Later on, you could expand into email lists or even niche content if you find a specific audience.

The main thing is don’t rely only on the API content. Use it as a base, then layer your own content and angle on top, that’s what actually makes the site grow.
