Hey guys ,
Been testing Reddit for traffic , but results are inconsistent some posts blow up , others die instantly .

Wanted to hear from people getting results :
1) What is your current strategy to go viral ?
2) Does timing still matter or only content ?
3) Big subreddits vs niche what works better ?
4) Best performing format right now ?
5) How important are account age + karma ?

Also do warm up accounts or post directly ?

Looking for real experiences or recent results .

I'm still new to reddit, but I feel niche subreddit works better than the big ones. Content seems more important than timing from what I've seen. Also, accounts with some karma works better. So I would warm them up first.

From what I have seen, niche subreddit seem more consistent than big ones. Timing still helps, but content and relevance matter more. Also, older accounts with some karma usually perform better on reddit.

Go niche if you can, better targeted traffic although less of it. Your content needs to provide value or humor if you want it to do well. Anything too promotional and people see through it.

I do questioning posts and answer in comments with link of brand name.. This works for my team and has very good results

To be honest the best thing to do right now is to post content that is genuinely useful or relatable in niche subs from an account that has been warmed up. Reddit rewards authenticity much more than any viral trick

Still seeing better results with niche subreddits rather than big ones. Posting helpful or discussion style content seems to perform more consistently. Account age and some basic karma also help, new accounts usually struggle at first.

Going viral is less about tricks and more about posting authentic, high-value content in niche subreddits, driving early engagement (upvotes + comments), and using warmed-up accounts since the algorithm now prioritizes relevance, engagement velocity, and trust signals over timing alone.

Speaking from my experience, Reddit growth is very hit-or-miss if you don’t match the community vibe.

  1. There’s no fixed “viral” strategy—posts work when they feel natural and relevant to the subreddit.
  2. Timing helps a bit, but content fit matters more.
  3. Niche subreddits usually convert better; big ones give reach but are harder.
  4. Simple, relatable, or discussion-style posts perform well.
  5. Account age + karma matter for trust and visibility.
Warming up accounts helps to jumping in cold usually doesn’t work well.

You should choose subreddits that match your content and have a high number of active users that’s how I select where to post promotional content for my products.

The real way to go viral on Reddit in 2026 is to first be truly active in the community and help people. Just linking or promoting doesn't work. When you make useful comments and genuine posts, trust is built, then your posts automatically get more reach. In short, give value first, then visibility increases on its own.

Posts that feel like ads usually get ignore or removed fast What works better is sharing a real experience asking a good question, giving a detailed answer, or posting something people naturallywant to discuss
The title matters a lot too. It should sound like a real person wrote it not a marketing headline

I prefer small niche subreddits. While larger subreddits can generate more traffic, they come with increased competition. I warm up accounts first. Older accounts with more karma do help, but the most important factor is still quality content.

From what I've seen recently, content quality and subreddit fit matter more than anything else. Timing still helps, but a strong post can perform well at almost any hour.
Niche subreddits often convert better than massive ones because the audience is more targeted. Account age and karma also play a role in trust and visibility, especially in stricter communities.
I generally prefer warming up accounts first rather than posting directly. Consistent engagement, natural posting patterns, and understanding each subreddit's culture tend to produce the most reliable results over time.
