REVIEW: Reviewed the samples I got and they are - okay - however you can tell they were not written by a native English speaker. There is a lot of weird grammar. They would work for something that only needs content purely for SEO reasons, but not for publicly facing shareable content.

Why dont you just disavow whatever links you have 'over-optimized' your old site with and then do the 301 to the new content at the new domain? Do you have access to the old domain still?

While it initially may impact only the offending URL it can trigger a manual site quality rating. If the rest of the site appears spammy, or that the link getting spammed with back links was the primary reason for the root domain to exist, then the entire site can get ban-hammered.
