Look at your client's website. If Google analytics is saying that people are finding it through company name+scam, you're in trouble. It's then not an seo problem but a pr problem.

You'll see a lot of advice from people saying that you should cold call. Biggest waste of time. I've tried this myself with very limited success. Think of it this way. If you're on the street and some random stranger comes up to you, selling his stuff, would you buy it?

I'm all for great content. However, is there a way to pay for some high pr links without spending days creating unique content or manually searching for sites that can link to you? For example, is buying text link ads a good idea? Or is all buying of links a no no in the eyes of the big g.

Are any of these tactics effective? Post a "complaint" that links to an adult site and then report it to Google. Using aged domains to dominate the first page. Sending thousands of spammy links to the complaints page.
