Is it just me or are music channels performing worse on YouTube than they were a few years ago?
Channels like MrSuicideSheep for example, sitting right now at 12,8M subscribers with a video performance of 70-80K after 7 days with ~2000 to 3000 likes and ~60 comments.

Don't get me wrong, but that's not the kind of music that will go viral on YouTube since it's a really small niche. I'm sure you can grow a good fanbase if you upload quality content every day though
It's the same every year. Companies spend huge advertising budgets around Christmas season. Beginning of the year everyone wants to save money. Companies realize that and advertise less.
It has been confirmed tens of thousands of times by Google that these metrics do NOT count. Why should they? Google would shoot itself in the leg here and lose advertisers! Better educate yourself before spreading false information.
