Community posts WITH or WITHOUT links?

I'm posting a lot on my community tab lately and experimenting with different types of posts.

The best performing posts are polls and images (gifs perform best).

I've also tested every single type with links included (links to my own YouTube videos) and the engagement and impression were a lot lower than without links.

So my question is, is it better to post community posts without links for the full impressions or with links?

A few months ago it was said that users who interact with community posts would see videos from these channels on their browsing page, but I don't think that's applicable anymore since YouTube changed that, right?

Yeah mate. You are right. For me also, polls are doing fine. At least people are interacting through polls

My observation is, you shouldn't post your links all the time. Instead, twist and turn these combinations:

• Frame a question related to your content and place your link as answer
• Image/infographic/table or any such info (This time NO link)
• Provide some good information related to your video in the form of TEXT (with link). Max 2-3 lines
• Reminder to your audience regarding your recent published video (with link)
• Poll for next week's video/which content viewers wanted to see/feedback on the content (no link)
• Gif's (no link)
• List of videos on any topic (with links)

This way you can engage your audience through out the week. I'm not saying to put something or the other every day. Use it carefully. Don't spam it with links alone. Also make sure that they get some value apart from pure link placement, that's whole idea behind this.

I think, this is intact. No change at all as far as I know. YT will show community posts and videos to users who already watched your content once, though he/she is not a subscriber to your channel.
