I would like to add that mastering tools does not guarantee a good designer. Don't do it just for the money or "professionalism". You need to enjoy it first then gradually foster your design sense. The easiest way I found is to look through other's design. See enough of them until you can tell...
I think there will always be a conflict between search engines and SEO efforts. When a successful SEO method becomes well known to everyone then the search engines will stop it somehow. Then people come up with a better one. Repeat.
Add to the discussion here. The circles look uncomfortable with the outline on it. Another suggestion is to cut the circle 1/4 from the bottom. That would make the logo more interesting.
Another idea is to try to make money through related business. This is coming from someone with zero experience so laugh at me if you want. For example you can sell supplies to handymen, ask local hardware stores if they will be interested in advertising with you, etc.
I guess it really depends on what type of sound effect you want. You can find a lot of simple stuffs online for free. I used freesound and soundbible, both are excellent source.
