I've not found anything on Google suggesting it bad practice to disavow. My only question is how do I KNOW a bad link? I don't have any messages in my search console, which is good, but I Want to clean up some of these foreign/low quality domains.
I'm using Ahrefs to look at all of my backlinks and referring domains. There is a video I was told to watch by the Ahrefs staff, the link to which is here. I'm going through these, and per the video's instructions, I've located a couple of domains which have more than 50 links to my site, and...
OK, out of 100's of links, undoubtedly, some of them do not have the nofollow tag. Is there a way to audit ALL of my affiliate links to find which ones do not have that tag? It would take forever to go through every single page, link by link.
OK, so I need to do what you suggested. You know, my site definitely is for Amazon Affiliates, but with only 28 articles, all in a similar category, I've got to say, it's a really well done site. I have ZERO black hat efforts employed. Heck, I've even got some good articles up that don't even...

Well, the content on my site is pretty good, most of it I wrote myself. I wonder if I should do a link audit? I've never done a link audit before. Is that basically where I go through my links and somehow...
I just took up a trial subscription of Ahrefs. I'm going to try and get some sort of glance at the situation. I'm by no means a pro in this field, but from the way things look in Ahrefs, I look pretty good! This is very bizarre.
Is it reasonable to not worry about it? Figure that somethings going on, and it will probably change again? I only have one site. This is sort of a supplemental income for me. I definitely don't do this for a living, but losing $800/mo is HUGE.
Is there a tool where I can retroactively check my rankings? I'm not sure if that makes sense or not. For example, I can subscribe to Majestic right now and get some snapshots, but for the purpose of evaluating what has happened, is there a way to backdate searches? Does such a tool/service...
Thank you for that link! I never knew about that site, so I'm glad I do now. Well, It looks like my site peaked Jan 1st of this year with 31k, and on a 30 day average, has been declining ever since, according to the graphs in Analytics. I see no discernible impact during the times noted in...
So I haven't really been checking up with Google Analytics too much the past couple months, and I decided to clock in and see how things are going with my site. I was averaging 30k visitors per month, and when I checked the latest report it was down to 21k for the past 30 days! I normally post...
I don't have any paid subscriptions at this time, but I'm considering Majestic. Actually, the only reason I'm considering it, is because I have Long Tail Pro, and Spencer Haws uses data from it, so I'm assuming it's pretty nice.
I would like to be able to do link research, and I'd also like to...
OK, now I'm not sure. As I mentioned, I did what you suggested, and on page "A"(the page in question), nothing came up, but when I searched for a paragraph from page "B", Google did return that page in the results. So, based on your info, we know there is an underlying problem. That problem...
