If you subscribed to only one paid tool (i.e. majestic), what would that tool be?

I don't have any paid subscriptions at this time, but I'm considering Majestic. Actually, the only reason I'm considering it, is because I have Long Tail Pro, and Spencer Haws uses data from it, so I'm assuming it's pretty nice.

I would like to be able to do link research, and I'd also like to be able to track my ranking for select keywords over time, that way I can optimize my content, and see the improvements over time.

    Recommendations?

I've got one site - Thanks!

Majestic is very good service. Personally I prefer it for checking TF and CF as these are good metrics to rely on and also for looking at the topics that a website is about - I find this really useful for checking websites that I am planning to get links from, to make sure they are really related to my niche and in the right neighbourhoods etc.

Purely in terms of finding backlinks belonging to your site or your competition I really prefer ahrefs.com though - they have some really comprehensive data. And in addition a great feature with ahrefs is that you can also find all of the organic keywords that you are ranking for as well as tracking automatically backlinks that you gain or lose for your own site.

Moz.com is also really good - not so much for backlinks but to look at metrics of other sites, keyword analysys and research, onpage SEO etc.

As for rank tracking, I think Moz.com does a pretty good job of that, although I dont really use that feature myself. You can also of course go for a rank tracker like serpbook.com or serpbuddy.com, they are geared specifically towards rank tracking and will do a great job of it including historic reporting etc.

If you can only get access to one tool, Im not sure, probably need to know a bit more about what you are doing and what you want to acheive.

You can participate in group buy. Some of them offering very low price between $5-10 per month, depends on which account you're interested in. Semrush, moz, ahrefs, majestic, and much more.

PM me if you're interested. I can provide it for you

I'd go for ahrefs too, Ahrefs has a greater index of links and can be used for rank tracking too.

What does TF and CF mean? Looked through a couple acronym threads here on BHW, couldn't find them.

I'm stuck with majestic. Tried moz and found it to be too expensive for my liking. Same with ahrefs...You don't need too much data just enough and majestic has enough data for decision making for me.
