The fundamentals of SEO don't change every year - whether it's 2010, 2015 or 2017, you still need content, you still need links and you still have to play it right with link building, without going too crazy on anchor text over-optimization and mix up your link sources.

Don't mean to take over your thread op but @SERPTurbo could you explain more about mixing up link sources and not going too crazy on anchor text over optimization. Are you saying not to include an anchor text on every back link/article/content as it is too much? and what is mixing up link sources?

I'm new to the SEO world and have been reading tons of threads but it seems like info overload

101% agreed. The basic remains the same.. Only the tweaks in advance level pops up every other day which makes our life miserable

Thought "SEO is always changing". and "good content alone ranks a site". and the "post regular (bullshit) content to rank your site"..

You should build quality pbn, then post to those pbn, build it into a unique site, then you will have a quality backlink. It's more than building a lot of bad backlinks
