I luckily struck out! After reading all these crypto hype, I really wanted to gamble on crypto. (The eth and pivx threads really made me jelly!)
So well I listened to my friends who are into crypto and tried to find something to gamble in (or "invest"
)
This story actually starts two months ago when my friends were raving about XRP blowing up in the future.
I did my research and found out XRP is not a crypto. It's supposed to be a stable coin that people can use to facilitate conversion between currencies (physical or otherwise)
That means xrp is supposed to stay stagnant for banks to adopt it.
but this year is big for xrp! Banks were going to adopt it for the first time! And that's why my friends said xrp would enjoy a huge rise in price.
but me being in gambling mode, I didn't buy xrp yet because I figured it would take until summer or fall to get big. Was planning to buy it "last minute"
Welp, a few days ago xrp went from 0.007 usd to 0.021! I wasn't keeping track because I had put it off till the summer. My friend bought lots @ 0.007 and was happily telling everyone about the price increase! That's how I found out.
you bet I felt a large amount of regret!
But what did I do? My gambling kicked in and I went ahead and bought $2050ish of XRP in hopes it would keep rising. My friend said it would hit 10 usd *haha hahaha riiight*
This was an f'ing dangerous move because I looked at xrp's historical price and 2 cents is its peak almost every year. Then it usually goes back down to 0.007.
BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT HAPPENED! I went to bed already feeling defeated that my gambling screwed me but when I woke up, to my surprise XRP IS NOW 0.047 ANDROID RISING! I MADE DOUBLE MY BET OVERNIGHT! Now I have ~$4k in XRP.
I'm not that much of an idiot. I'm cashing out right now. Not looking back!
My friend can keep hoping xrp will jump to 10 bucks, and hey it might happen. But I'm not risking that lolol
u guys can risk it too, it would just raise the price more
