Even if op has other motives for this thread, I don't see a problem. Everyone does that. Even big players here do that.
(Leith talking about authority twitter accounts before opening his sales thread on that, btb and zaltan giving away keyword before opening their sales thread, etc...)

They give enormous value to the forum , and gain a little something from it.

Grow up.

PS: someone make this thread sticky pls.

I personally did not see this as self promotional but I was curious why I was seeing @hasa1015 make orders in the content section so often.

Another Mod, @Zwielicht, has seen and been active in this thread and had he thought it self promotional I am sure he would have closed it.

In any event, @hasa1015's BST has been fairly dormant and he has requested it be closed to help eliminate any thoughts of self promotion.

Slightly off topic, I received a Facebook message today from someone wanting me to order articles from them;

" Hei you need profeshional article writer? "

I actually thought it was a wind up until I realised it was a seller from a group and had a Fiverr profile to order from.

The profile description; Hi, I am a Professionally Search Engine Optimization Expert. I am Very Good In Optimization both on page and off page. I am Also Expert In Content Marketing.

Incredible post! I've ordered content from many writers here on BHW and there's one writer who I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend: Kyescontent
I cannot stress how important it is to do your due diligence when hiring content writers. It can be an incredibly tedious process to find the right person to write your content because a lot of services outsource the work.
As a general rule for myself I try to avoid services and therefore look for individual writers who are not affiliated with a company. This can make paying for content more expensive, but in the end it's worth it.

The seller killed his own BST. Don't blame that on Harry. Hopefully the seller learned something from all of this.

As an aside, I was waiting for someone to accuse Harry of wanting to wipe out the competition.

What competition?

You have to remember that most of the people who order these articles don't have a firm grasp on written English. So they leave positive reviews bc in their limited knowledge, these articles are good.

But a lack of spelling and grammatical errors doesn't mean an article is good.

I think that BST was pretty much dead before it got started.

It is supposed to be a premium writing service (well they charge a premium price) but the initiall review by @I know SEO wasn't exactly glowing. He may have stated Good Service but also pointed out the lack of research which at those prices extensive research should be expected regardless of the vague subject matter!

I also don't understand why, at any level of writing spelling mistakes would be considered acceptable because spell checkers are built into just about every word processing software I know. An occasional one may slip through in a 3000 word article but numerous mistakes in a 500 word piece is ridiculous.

Fantastic research, thanks for this. I'm looking to invest in some decent content over the next few weeks, and this makes my research about a million times easier.

I don't have checkout services bc I don't take every project that comes my way. I want to discuss a project with the client first and confirm that I can give him what he wants before I accept his payment.

That's fine you can contact them after they send initial details still, I'm just saying that some buyers here value a streamlined process. Personally I'd rather pay an extra $1 per article for the convenience. Also having a checkout just looks good to the consumer. I'd highly recommend looking into it, there are good free options. You get order details, the buyer gets directed to PayPal... I'm really not understanding the down side. Are you having trouble setting it up? They really aren't that tricky, you should give it a try.

Shiiiiiet, i should start selling copy again.

This is one hell of a thread here. Really good job. I must say I'm struggling myself to get a decent writers at a decent pricing for a while (read months) for a couple of projects, and this thread is eye opener. I've tested few myself, but honestly after years of dealing with writers and paying thousands to some of those guys I've learned how they work and what are prices for what type of content and this does not come as a surprise.

IMO paying anything like $5-10 per 100w is ridiculous for this type of article. Just insane. I wouldn't even consider that. I'm not a cheap ass, it's just not reasonable. Paying $100+ for high quality sales pitch (that actually sells product) even if it's 1000w is fine as long as it sells.

How I judge writers? Here is one simple trick. View word count. If it's 501 or 504 words or 510 words in most of the cases that writer is no good IMO. Because he didn't even bothered to write about topic (that shows by the article) but in addition to that simply popped in few words to match 500w mark. That is funny. I don't care if article is 452 words or 542 words as long as it reads fluent and makes sense.

Few years back I was dealing with good and bad writers with lots of influence on business of course. Writer is not always an affiliate marketeer and you can't judge everyone the same. Some people are good at writing but suck at selling. There is a huge difference. But when you find someone who can write good converting content stick with that guy as long as you can disregard pricing at some point. Quality writer is basics of your business. When you get someone good don't let it go. Trust me. It can take years to find other even remotely good one.

If it helps to some of you guys looking for writers, this is what I've done (and still do sometimes), as my English is not very best (as you can see) I would put up together sales pitch as I would like it to look like explaining everything to writer and he would take it from there. Grab all the content put out the important facts about specific product and explain what I want to achieve. They can't read minds, you need to talk to them and explain what are you goals, target audience and what are you trying to achieve. Don't worry they are not there to steal your niche or business. They are going to make it better.

Writers are specific like designers, you need to work with them to create good content.

I didn't know he had a BST when I posted that. I was referring to the promotion of his new site.

Come to think of it, he could have pasted those articles in Pastebin... He successfully just launched a content provider review site and stuffed it with content (he's reviewing content!) with a single shot and now will have content providers from BHW checking that site for reviews forever.

He got a domain on Feb 22 which probably matches closely when he started ordering these articles(?), so for the past month he set this up to promote this new site.

The fact that he has a BST in the same area as these competitors makes it even more blatant.

When does a company run a comparison of his competitors? When they're trying to show they're better than the others. Microsoft will not publish a comparison where Linux wins against Windows.

I didn't even know he had a content writing BST, if I knew then this would have been clearer to me from the start.

I was impressed initially with how he did such a superb job of reviewing and buying all these to review them...but then it struck me, he'd just promoted the newest content review site on the WWW!

haha you're just joking now right?

This is a good idea of a thread of reviewing writing services, but it has no value since the purpose is not to provide an actual evaluation of the article but to get own sales and bring attention to his threads. Of course, OP is going to decline and say 'wrong, very wrong', but let's be realistic, no one is going to say 'yes' if that's going to put him in a bad light and stop his sales.

Without properly reading service description hasa placed an order with just two words of description: 'Gaming PC' without specifying anything else, when I contacted him via skype he said "general descriptive article'. So he got what he ordered. There was no revision, service was provided only by half as he refused to finish it. I would even be happy to refund him, but there was no such request and he wrote review like his order was finished. So the intention clearly was to say that most expensive writing service on BHW is bad and you can go buy from him or from his referrals.

Unfortunately, I don't provide mind-reading services on BHW, so if I have to run after clients to find out what they want and what they mean, I have to add another 0 or a few to my price. Hen got only half-a-service so he couldn't give a proper evaluation to what he got.

You two have the same avatar? Is this a JV? Yours is the funny article in the mix. What's up, mate? You guys playing us like Reddit?

It was a running gag. At one point four of us all had that avatar. We were dicking around and decided that would be funny.

Jesus man. You seriously think Harry has some hidden agenda.

Let's assume he does.

Who cares?

No, seriously. Who actually cares?

If the mods haven't said anything or shut this thread down, then obviously there is no hidden agenda here. Don't you think they'd be savvy enough to pick up on that?

I actually can't believe you are for real right now.

I'm in a skype group with Nick and Harry, Nick did his article for a joke and Harry has shared his plans about this since mid-feb.

You have totally seen this post in the incorrect way. It really is just for reviews, if Harry was trying to boost his content writing sales there are much easier, cheaper and quicker ways to do it than run this thread.

I don't know why you would shoot down a member who just published a great thread at their own expense for us all to benefit from. All you're doing is putting people off from doing the same in the future which will lead to a poorer community where less content is shared.

This is one of the best threads I've seen this year.

careful, i think all that tin foil is cutting off circulation to your brain

So funny.

Anyway, thread lost its initial shine for me, but I hope you flip this site for good money when you do ;)

Dropping the mic and /out

It wasn't all at his expense, he invested in content for his site...is that content not on his site right now? It is, right?

So peace. Hope you make $ from this. Out.

At first, very very good job @hasa1015. This is one of the most helpful posts for some time here.

This is a good idea of a thread of reviewing writing services, but it has no value since the purpose is not to provide an actual evaluation of the article but to get own sales and bring attention to his threads. So you mean if you get a piece of shit and get a refund for it it's not longer a piece of shit? And if you order a fucking 50$ article, you shouldn't need a revision to fix basic mistakes. It's his full right to write a review when he receives his orders wtf.

I hope that just because of those bitchy assumptions you make about @hasa1015 s intention no one will ever buy a piece of shit from you. And I'm pretty sure no one does after the reviews in your thread and here. Your reaction to this alone shows you're not done for this.
