How many ratings and comments do you need?

How many ratings and comments do you need on your videos for them to start being ranked higher?

Or do you guys think that ratings and comments are not really important and just worry about views?

So if I had like 10 comments on a video, would having 100 comments make it rank higher?

dude first of all it will depend on ur video niche ... like ur niche is computer..search on youtube computer u will see video on first page....
after that check if ur video is there or not...
then u need to do the promotion so that ur video comes on the first page of that search..
it will help u in gaining organic views...
so main thing is that what keywords have u chosen? what is ur video all about...?
do u think there is potential in ur video to attract views Automatically... !!
things like that...
and comments and ratings do matter if u buy video promotion...because it will look unreal if ur video has 44k views...with no comments and ratings... simple

Its has more to do with how many competing videos with that keyword phrase. The first part of ranking is VEO. You can guarantee you get on the first page of you tube if there is under 60,000- 80,000 competing videos, If you use proper veo methods. Think of VEO just like SEO, its all about keywords and placement of them. Favorites, ratings and comments come after that.
Depending how competitive your niche is, makes a huge difference.(So sliv3r is right to some degree) Also how long the video has been on the first page plays a part.
