Ranking My Website - Personal Trainer

Who said that backlinks are like proteins lol
You need them . Local seo has lots of opportunity . Use business listings, business page from google etc

Are there any sellers on the marketplace that you guys recommend for local seo?

Hey TMC, I'm actually going on the same journey you are going through, except in the states, and I'm law niche. PM me your skype or facebook and we can bounce ideas off each other.

If anyone is interested, my website is "themacrocoach . co . uk".
The very first thing you should not do is reveal your web address in a blackhat forum, mate. You'll never know whose watching.

Back to your question, PBNs are one of the most powerful way to obtain rankings. However, it is also one of the main reasons of your downfall if you're not careful enough. First few things to do when setting up a network is check their backlink profiles, and most importantly, if that domain is still indexed in search results. 1 year old sites with over 2 million backlinks are a big no-no. You can start off with an aged domain with just say 100 backlinks and work your way up. Be prepared to spend sleepless nights to set up the domains and maintenance.

As for scrapebox, it was the very first tool I used when I ventured into this dark SEO world back in 2010. It will generate thousands of websites that you can leave backlinks on, mainly through the comment feature but most of these websites are not moderated and spammed to death. Back then, it was wayyyy easier to get #1 spot with this tool but I wouldn't recommend its use now.

Generally, it is easier to rank for local SEO. Local directories do help with rankings, but I suggest you spend more time and effort getting backlinks and mentions from active forums, in your case - preferably a bodybuilding & fitness forums.

What about PBN sellers in the marketplace. Are there any that you guys recommend? Or is it pointless to go in that direction?

If you're buying your own PBN made just for you with quality domains then yes. But if you're planning on buying posts on PBNs here don't point to them to your money site.

If you know how to setup Wordpress and such just buy expired domains and set them up.

for local seo, citations is a great start.

Make sure you have your Google My Business page - without this you cannot appear in the map pack. Also check out web20ranker - they have a strategy for optimizing your GMB page involving geo-tagging and LSI captions which all add backlinks from trusted sources back to your page.

If you were in the US, I'd suggest master Yelp.

Get yourself published/buy posts on authoritative sites, you're trying to create a brand - nothing says brand than a link back from Men's Health. You have to tell Google why you are the best PT in your area.

As for global SEO, I'd take a step back on that - you need to first ask yourself how do you think your target audience is going to find you? If it is indeed a google search on nutrition coach, or online trainer, then by all means continue trying to rank for those keywords, but more and more I'm seeing giving out free info on youtube/FB and then retargetting as the way forward. I'd check out what your competitors are doing in this space and emulate them - if they've already figured it out and are making money why reinvent the wheel? As an example, check out athleanx.com. He posts loads of youtube content, and his retargetting follows me around the web. I was actually looking for how to rehab a shoulder injury and came across one of his youtube videos. Matt Ogus is another guy who is successful - he's active on social media/youtube, that's how he gets most of his sales from.

Have taken my web address down :-)

Is it wise using a tool that auto comments in forums and blog posts to build backlinks?

Thanks for the great ideas and I completely agree with you regarding Ogus and AthleanX.

I'm trying to find authoritative sites that cover the Manchester area that allow publishing but it's proving to be difficult. Maybe I'm looking or tying for the wrong thing?

I've used BrightLocal to buy 50 citations so I'm hoping that'll help once it kicks in,

I still have some questions regarding RankerX I'm hoping you guys can help me with...
  1. Why do people say RankerX is sh*t when it comes to tier 2 & tier 3 links?
  2. Are tier 3 links even important? Why not just build loads of tier 1 & 2's.
  3. For those who use RankerX, do you create your own separate campaigns or do you use the wizard?
  4. Why use naked URL's over anchors?
  5. Are keywords redundant in RankerX if your content is spun from KontentMachine as this creates anchors & links?

In addition to all your SEO stuff run a constantly updated blog.
Upload pictures, create videos, don't forget to use SEO for those as well.
It is not just being ranked, but people wanting to click on your link.

+1. Best noob friendly advice here. I feel he won't do it ..

I'm doing this already. Posting at least 1 new article every week. Stuff like this is a given.

I'm then sharing the blog link out on social media and boosting posts.

This is a site for getting clients in your area, correct?

Then that is local seo and you are going way overboard with link building.
Citations and backlinks from industry or local sites are going to help
you. PBN, ranker x, gsa are all overkill for a local site.

Its gonna take about 6+ months before you are gonna see site movement
on google. I've ranked my own local business site, PM if i can help.
Ayyy lmao try and say that in my niche.

If I used citations to rank my sites I would site nicely on page 15.

Get your exact match under 5% of your anchors. Look int anchor text ratio.
After that, use RankerX for tier 1 - web 2.0/profiles/press release - all premium quality. Push these through an indexer.

Then you need extra tiers, go with Tier 2 contextual, T3 everything else like blog comments and shit.

Also don't let KontentMachine choose your anchors.
