Ranking My Website - Personal Trainer

Hi all,

I've been on the BHW forum for about 2 weeks trying to learn how people SEO websites. I didn't realise how deep SEO went.

I'm currently working as a personal trainer but I'm actually a web & software developer by profession so pick up techy things really fast.

I'm trying to rank my personal training website and have done the following...

Created it in WordPress and used Yoast to SEO.
Done as much on-page SEO as I could.
Bought 50 citations from BrightLocal as local SEO is important to my business.
Built about 100 tier 1 links using RankerX - Only started this yesterday.
Got content from KontentMachine and spun using WordAI
Indexed the tier 1 links using Web20Indexer

I've been reading more & more and have a few questions I'm hoping some of you experienced lot can help me with.

Are PBN's the way to go? I've been on "expireddomains" and some of the domains have 20+ million backlinks. To me purchasing them and creating a PBN seems like a no-brainer unless I'm missing something. I realise this takes time & money but I have a healthy marketing budget.

I keep reading that RankerX is only good for tier 1 and not tier 2, 3. Why is that?

I've looked into ScrapeBox and GSA SER but can't see to figure out what they do or whether they'd be useful to me. ScrapeBox especially confuses me as what's the point Scraping data? What do you do with it?

Local SEO is very important to me as my business is located in Manchester, UK. The keywords I want to rank for are; "Personal Trainer Manchester". Competition doesn't seem to be too overly fierce. What are some of the other things I can do to rank locally? I have good social media accounts, Google reviews, Facebook ads & Google AdWords campaigns running.

Seems like you are on the right track , focus on content your competition is not fierce cuz they are individuals not entities . Track keyword difficult for your kw an the kw of something related with your local gym you will understand what I am talking about .

I don't like your site, your homepage is just a picture. You should add a lengthy homepage post where you introduce yourself, and tell the people why they should choose you. You have several pages covering your business, but people have to click a button to acces these infos. So you should make a one pager landing page where they just have to scroll.

- you need more content.
- I guarantee you, that expired domain with 20 million backlins is spammed to death, and it will tank your site to oblivion.
- I never used automatic tools, so I can't give you advice about rankerx, and gsa. but I know that gsa is pure spam, so don't point it directly to your money site, use it to push your t1.

if you have a healthy budget, do yourself a favor and outsource the seo to a reputable comapny ot a reputable seller here.

In addition to all your SEO stuff run a constantly updated blog.
Upload pictures, create videos, don't forget to use SEO for those as well.
It is not just being ranked, but people wanting to click on your link.

Thanks mate. I'm trying to write 1-2 unique, interesting & helpful blog articles a week. I'm then sharing them through my Facebook page and boosting the posts.

in terms of tier 1 backlinks, is it good practice to use your own written blogs or is it better to get them through Kontent Machine?

It seemed incorrect to me to have my blog listed on 50 tier 1 backlinks and on my website.

Thanks for your input mate. I wanted a clean homepage hence why I went minimal. I also don't want to be too sales-y. I've found in my field, being sales-y doesn't work as people don't like to be sold to.

Most of my sales are closed based on my appearance because I'm an amateur level bodybuilder, my client transformations or my unique training methods which I showcase on Instagram and Facebook.

I'll be writing more blog posts so the content will slowly build up

This is a site for getting clients in your area, correct?

Then that is local seo and you are going way overboard with link building.
Citations and backlinks from industry or local sites are going to help
you. PBN, ranker x, gsa are all overkill for a local site.

Its gonna take about 6+ months before you are gonna see site movement
on google. I've ranked my own local business site, PM if i can help.

Hi mate, I should've mentioned that I do a lot of online coaching as well. This isn't the bread & butter of my business but I intend to grow online coaching and eventually do less 1-to-1 sessions. This is why I also need global SEO.

I'll PM you regarding local SEO

Local Seo is quite easier than global seo .
The posting blogs part once a week is quite good on your side . google will notice that you update your site quite often .

Maybe someone else will chime in, but you might need 2 sites.
One for online coaching (global ranking) / one for local (local ranking).

Lol that's one of the things I do mate. Nutrition is a massive part of my services. I spent the last 18 months developing my own online nutrition platform and this is what all my clients use. It's like MyFitnessPal but on steroids lol.

What I am wondering if it is possible to have a global/local site that ranks for both.
You ARE gonna need much more backlinks, etc for a global site, but that does not work well for local seo. See what I'm saying?

Yes if you target 1 page for certain kws for global and a different page for city or cities You are targeting .
