Your approach is interesting and no doubt successful, but don't you think that if you always start your keyword research by looking at what your competition is already ranking for, you may miss some keywords that are completely untapped?

Some of the most successful niches i discovered were products where virtually no affiliate websites was ranking yet, and i don't think you can run into those keywords just by analyzing your competition.

I was using long tail pro long back, I quit because Longtail pro was affected by keyword planner, I don't know about them now, I hope they have updated.
