Hello everyone,
I'm planning to start an amazon aff. website but before i do, there are some questions that i couldn't find answered, so your help is appreciated.

1. If I'm living in canada and want to target the US market, from what I've read I understood that it's very possible and people are doing it and that i'll need to sign up at amazon.com for that. my question is, If my bank account is in Canadian dollars and I chose to get paid by bank deposit by amazon, would that be a problem? and would that be the ideal (cheapest) route fees wise?

2. Does it matter if the bank account im willing to deposit in, isn't under my name but under my brother or cousin's for example?

any advice regarding taxes, fees, conversion rates or anything really from people in canada doing this would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Thanks mate! appreciate your help :D
Signed up for payoneer now, they'll get back to me in a few days hopefully
Thanks again

Setup a USD account at your bank and request payment by cheque. Pretty sure direct deposit is only available to people in the States

Yes payoneer is for those outside of the US, you can withdraw to any account anywhere in the World. Stick to payoneer

What? Go to your bank in Canada and open an USD account. Whatever you posted sounds like a head ache.

No it's easy, have you actually tried payoneer. Banks charge a lot to convert dollars into other currencies.

No it's better to have the money stay in USD because the IM industry runs on USD. Not only that but the Canadian dollar is volatile as hell. USD is easily the most stable in the world and everything on the internet uses it.

USD Bank account at local bank ----> connect bank account to Paypal ----> spend at will

But if you are not resident in the US and are targeting Amazon.com, they don't deposit into your bank account outside of the US, hence associates who are outside of the US use payoneer, so much easier. Then once you get paid - spend at will :)

Why is why I said request payment by cheque...

Payoneer or cheque, whatever you prefer more. Personaly I use payoneer

Ok seems we have a difference of opinion, the general consensus for those outside of the US is payoneer as it's easier and a lot quicker than waiting for a cheque and a lot cheaper . As you are happy with waiting for a check then we'll leave it there otherwise this will go on and on and on..........

International cheques is a headache.I will rather have direct deposit help you get paid quickly instead waited months to get a cheque approved.

1. No problem if you have different currency, it will get converted to your currency when it enters to your Bank. I use Payoneer to get paid, its better.

2. If you want to withdraw through bank account, it must have to me by your name.

thanks to all of you for the comments!
I understand that creating a canadian bank account using USD as the currency might be a good option too, however at the moment i don't live in canada and was planning to use my brother's details and deposit everything to his account and he'll give it to me when we meet or something. Since the country i live in isn't supported by paypal or wire transfers to/from foreign banks.
So i'll go with payoneer for now hoping it'll save me and my brother some trouble (since i'll just withdraw from local ATMs).
Thanks for everyone <3 <3

Why not focus on Amazon Canada ? Its easy and not high competitor .

Amazon us is a bigger market than Canada is probably the reason. If you want to promote Amazon internationally then payoneer is best, easiest and cheapest option.
