A Complete Beginners Wordpress Amazon Affiliate Journey

Saved to read later. It's hard to read because i have the white template display... Anyway, thanks for sharing this.

awesome journey , super similar to what I'm about to start myself. If you don't mind me asking , what was the average difficulty of your niche via semrush's keyword magic tool?

The keyword magic tool is awesome. Generally I search a seedword and filter by competition. Anything with less than 70% KWD and over 200ish search results I target in an article. I try to incorporate 5 - 10 of these per 1,000 word article and then use a higher KWD 80 - 90% with 2,000+ search results as well.

Tends to work really well. You can pretty much get the low comp keywords to rank just by linking to it from your pillar article (or another article with lots of links).

I am finding that a lot of my organic searches are from keywords I never targetted but am just getting rankings for by writing long articles. Every month my site is climbing the serps and earnings (especially adsense are getting higher and higher).

Here are my analytics and webmaster stats:

As you can see traffic has been pretty consistent over the last month. Decent click through rates.

How did that PBN service work for you, have you seen a boost?

Worked really well actually, pretty much ranked most of my low comp keywords I submitted in the top 10.

Oh I was referring to the KD ( keyword difficulty ) column. The competition column I thought was used for PPC (Adwords) type competition , although I understand it does correlate somewhat.

Yeh I see how what I wrote could have been confusing. I edited my post. I was really meaning KD %... but I used numerals instead of % and said competition. Anything under around 70% is relatively easy to rank. But I always just use Semrush's tool as a starter. Go check out the search results yourself and look at the links etc using Ahrefs. If the top 10 is full of crappy affiliate sites with bugger all links, or youtube vids then its a pretty good sign.

After a while you can sorta get a feel for words that will be easy to rank or not.

Ahh okay , yup that clears it up a lot ;) . Thanks bud . I was just curious at what KD you considered low enough competition to go after . Yeah I always check out the top 10 manually also. I've never used Ahrefs , I have moz bar though. Does the ahrefs free trial work as the full version does?

Free version is fine. It gives you enough of an idea of what types of links / the quality that the site has. Most of the keywords with KWD less than 70% will have less than 10 links... and a lot of them will be terrible links. Many won't even be targeting the keyword directly either.

But again like I said... if you write quality, long articles, you will start ranking for keywords you don't even think of, just use your keyword research as a base!

So what would you say did the most for your ranking? Probably the SEO packages right? Also am I understanding correctly that you purchased one SEO package and another PBN package? Thanks and you have a follower in your journey in me.

Can I know which Packages you brought for the site? Your thread is awesome you have been updating pretty good even with a Job and a site to maintain.

Yeah the packages I purchased off of BHW are the main drivers for ranking KW's. I have done some outreach stuff too, but as you saw in earlier posts I was struggling. The main package I purchased off here was @Finn s hercules package. Others were from Sakar and AKA Sam (cheaper packages just too see what was on offer).

That's all I've done in terms of link building for about 2.5 months... and each month my ranks go up and up... so pretty stoked.

Hey mate really liked your journey as I also had a hard Analysis Paralysis and I am starting now to get into it.
I would not like to see your journey die like so many out there.
You are already going up the 5 months mark, how are things going?
Did you break even from your investments?
How many words and articles your site has.
Just keep posting
Cheers mate

Site is going really well. Just letting it do its thing. Passed $5 a day last month. Another month and I should break even on investments - will update. My site has about 35 or so articles ranging 800 - 6000 words each. Averaging 1.5k words. Will update every month or so.
