Ok, so i was just on instructables where they take a 10 step tutorial and split it into 10 pages. So you have to keep clicking forward or back to get to the next step.

My question is why do they do this? Is it better to get lots of clicks to different pages? or have the person on one page for a long time? I think i mean for SEO ranking. If it has a user ease purpose, i fail to see it.

Design prefrence

Click from one page to another is just design prefrence , off course you get board and want to leave just close browser.

Some desiners do it so you stay on a website longer , and of course increase the time users are on the website.

But it not just time factors that seo looks at for good page index.

In my opinoin shit design idea ...

Plenty of good fresh traffic , and grate content is what needed .

I think 99% of the time webmasters would split the content in 10 pages just to increase their ads CTR. For SEO purposes it should be better to have rich content in just one page.

OMG! I just noticed they have 6 adsense ads on ONE page! I thought the limit was 3?

You can use 10 Adsense per page. However, you need to ensure that ad portion shouldn’t exceed content itself!

Well I guess big websites can do whatever they damn please. Cause they use 6 ads per page and 1 paragraph of content.
