Check: gamesdreams.com. On similarweb it's averaging 600K-1M views per month, with 95% coming from search. With that statistic alone, this site has near zero loyal readers. When you look at the site/forum, it's shitty and spammy. Can anybody here explain how this site gets away from Panda/Penguin penalty for so long, considering how many seemingly duplicate pages it has?

Revenue wise, I see they're using CPMStar ads since they're primarily a video game site, but perhaps they were banned from Adsense before. Still, this seemingly spam site ranks so well.

Any ideas? Would appreciate expert advice please.

Are you sure that's stat is correct? Mostly these website stat is over-rated. They cannot track the real traffic, just forecast it. Even those stat is real traffic, it is possible depend on backlink they have on this site. Google do not judge the site content alone without backlink factor.

I checked on SimilarWeb, Alexa, and Pub-db. The combination of those three usually give an accurate picture for me.

If you say backlinks help it get 95% search traffic, isn't that kind of unusual? With good backlinks I assume you'd get more than 5% referral traffic.
