Hi guys

Trying to think of ways to grow my pathetic FB page.

I think I could put together some videos (using material from news channels, YouTube, Vimeo, etc) that would be engaging for my audience.

Here's the thing... I obviously don't own the copyright for all of the video snippets I'd be using to create the videos.

Is there a way to post videos (containing copyrighted content) to my main page without the page getting banned or disabled?

Any thoughts/methods used greatly appreciated.

Hello joesed
Place a watermark on your videos and don`t worry about others. You can place them on your timeline safely.

Are you sure about that?

Doesn't seem like that would do much...

At start it`s a best way to protect your videos
I don't think you understand.

I'm looking to rip content (presumably copyright protected) from YouTube, modify it a little, and then upload it to FB.

The info I'm looking for is how to do this without getting my FB page banned.

For example, perhaps posting the video to a wall of another user account I control... and then share it from there would afford some protection.

Would love to hear from others who do this kind of thing.

search for new youtube not verified channel, and rip off their videos :D they are mostly " ripping other protected videos, and doing something so youtube let them keep their videos " so you will be safe, i am doing this and it's working.. i call it : Rip the damn ripper :D

There's no 100% safe method for doing this. Best you can do is do some aditional edition to the video and then post it as your own, but you will eventually get some videos deleted, the larger the page the higher the risk.

The only way to secure your fanpage not to be banned for using videos is create your own videos.

maybe i'm missing something but why not just add the link and show the original video, facebook does it for you

yes thre is but i only know some arabic pages and stufff naaa it dosnt

i downloaded video from other well know page and uploaded as mine
i did it twice, the second time banned my profile for one week :/

maybe it would be a good idea to use an online converter video->gif and the just share the gif video
the problem would be the page that has the gif video
** haven't tried it yet **

If the video you choose is in the Content ID System then it will be automatically recognised by Facebook and blocked from being uploaded. However, you are always given the option to post the video anyway if you claim you own the IP by clicking "More Info". Be warned while getting a few of these won't ban your page, Facebook will put a posting ban on your profile for 3-30 days depending on how many of them you get.

The only thing I can suggest right now is crossposting videos from a 0 like page. It hasn't been patched up yet.

Great advice @StrictlyTheBest. Many thanks.

Would the zero like page also need to be under my control (as admin)?

Or should the zero like page ideally be under admin control from a fake profile?

There is actually a way to do what you want to do... but you may not get everything EXACTLY the way you want it. However, you won't be banned because you are taking existing videos and making them your own. 100% legal. Here's a picture and then details below:

1) go to https://youtube.com/editor
2) Click on the "Create" option
3) Click on the "Video Editor"
4) Click on the "CC" icon (Creative Commons)
5) search for something
6) Any of the videos that come up are available to change and/or splice together in any way you see fit. There is no copyright violation. If you want to add music, go back to step 2 and click on "Audio Library" and there is copyright free music to add to your video.
7) Save the video to your YouTube channel and upload to FB without fear of copyright infringement.
