Facebook "Original Post" Shares

There are two ways to share posts from pages: with or without Original Post.
Those options are available when you choose to share a page post permalink directly from the page. (See screenshot below)

If you decide to share the page post permalink (via copy and pasting the post link), the shared post will be shown without the "Original Post."

Is there a way to use page post permalink (via copy and pasting the link) to share post including the Original Post?


When the page post permalink is shared with the "Original Post," the shared post shows the "Like Page" button as well. (See screenshot below)
Without the "Original Post" attached, the shared post does not include the "Like Page" button.

If content is shared across related groups with the "Original Post" that include the "Like Page" button, pages could acquire a better flow of prospective fans.

This looks like a potential method for increasing Page likes if constructed correctly with some accounts and related groups to share "Original Post" on autopilot instead of manual.

I believe it's been there since last year or so. I don't think you're required to do anything to enable it. It should be available to everyone by now.

Go to your fan page (or any other) then click the "Share". Then click the "Share..." button.
You should see the option to include "Original Post" of your share (Screenshot above). The "Like Page" will be attached to the share (Screenshot above).

This works with everything; links, photos and videos. And should be effective if automated to share on related groups from pages by a string of accouns.
