What's Currently Good For Mass Email Sending ?

Hi,

Assuming the list of 100k emails is not optin(atleast not all), then what are the current best methods for sending and getting good delivery rates?

Is Interspire the way to go? That would be Interspire $500 + VPS $35/m .... Or Interspire $500 + Desktop PC & VPN $15/m or Interspire $500 + Desktop PC & Private proxies (10) $25/m

Is that all that's needed to get going with Interspire?


What are the current other methods? Not interested in Mailchimp, Aweber, etc... as these mainstream big names will want to see some verification on how you got the large amount of emails. Additionally, they will ban/pause once a few bounces come back, especially on a fresh account.

I want to be able to send out maybe 100k a week. Some optin, some not. I would like something that will help me clean my list as bounces and complaints come back. So something with a decent feature-set.

I have used Mailchimp, vertical response and Madmimi before and found that Madmimi is the least strict on my database which was farmed from email harvesters.

However, you need to ensure your list is somewhat majority 'cleaned' and live email addresses. If there's too much hard bounces, it triggers an immediate halt which than results in you having to justify your source etc..

So what i did was this:

1. With a large database, you will have to screen them through an email verifier software online. I used paid ones such as Emaillistverify. This cleans up my data a GREAT bit and when i finally upload them to send, majority goes through without hard bounces.

2. Next, if you upload the entire list at once, you're going to be on their radar. Hence, i started with low volume subscriptions and slowly edged up every fortnight or so until i reached 100k. Just ensure each time you upload a new list, it doesn't cause your overall send thru rate to drop drastically. Within 10% iirc hard bounces won't set off the alarm bells..

Example: With a cleaned list of 10,000 emails, the next round i'll add in 2000 more if i'm not confident it's a high send thru rate. Hence the overall send thru rates usually are pretty okay as normally more than 50% of the addresses would still work.

If i'm confident and have run it through a verifier software, i'll push it further maybe add in 5000 for every 10000 current addresses inside.

I use Atomic Email Studio + Amazon SES. I'm sending B2B which makes things a little bit easier. If you're spamming personal emails with pharma offers you'll have a hard time.

I have two SES smtps. One on the Oregon region and one on the N. Virginia region. They give a 50K per day limit but only 14 and 20 emails per second from either server.

Atomic Email Studio has a email verifier app that does a pretty good job. My bounce rate is around 1-3% with this app. It does not remove spam traps which is a concern for me. I get around .1-.2% spam complaints. Overall I do really well with this setup.

If you're sending traffic to a domain, be sure to setup the DKIM and SPF. I purchased all of the TLDs for my brand domain and then redirect those to landing page on my good domain. If you do not do this your main domain will end up on a blacklist.

Here's my setup:

Solid SEO VPS $35 per month - For running scrapebox. I also run GSA Platform Identifier here but that's unrelated.
Scrapebox $67 - For gathering emails
Ahead Host VPS $15 per month - For running email programs. Ahead Host has port 25 open which is necessary for validating emails using Atomic Email Studio.
Atomic Email Studio $229 - For sending, verifying, and managing lists. It also comes with a Yelp scraper and various other email scrape tools.
Amazon SES - For sending emails. $1 for 10k messages. Deliverability is solid.
Instant Proxies $100 per month - I use these for other software but you need proxies to scrape emails.

I handle bounces by exporting my reply-to email inbox and adding them to a blacklist. This is not done automatically. It can be setup to handle bounces automatically but I haven't done it yet.

You're looking at around $450 in initial costs and then around $200 per month (email sending costs + proxies, vps, etc). The ROI is insane and well worth the initial setup cost/hassle.

SendInBlue will let you send cold if you buy a private IP for $140. I say they'll let you only because they banned me and told me I could come back if I bought the private IP. This was when I was just starting out and my bounce rate was around 8% (I didn't know about list cleaning back then).

I have never used Interspire but it looks like it does not include SMTP.

Around 85% - 95% depending on the campaign. You can't hit the inbox every time but if you sign your domain and write the email correctly, you can improve your inbox rate. You also have to cycle through domains because if you send from one domain you'll start to have problems. SpamAssassin is a widely used spam system that looks for certain characteristics in an email. My email system fake sends an email and lets SpamAssassin grade it. Very helpful for hitting the inbox.

My database storage is free because I'm using a desktop system. SES only charges when you send (or receive) email. So yes, it costs me around $10 to 100K emails via SES.

If you switch from Mad Mimi to SES you'll have to setup stat tracking which is a PITA. You'll also need a desktop email system like Atomic Email Studio.

Another cheaper option for you is Email Octopus. It uses SES SMTP to send but charges you for using the platform. Their emails aren't as pretty as other providers but their system works. https://emailoctopus.com/pricing. I used them briefly but I wanted my own system.

Can you expand on this? You send a fake email before every "real" email you send? I heard it's good to send an email first without any links. You buy domains to redirect to your LP, but why can't you just use a link shortener like bit.ly?

You can get emails sent for the same cheap rates but with much higher inboxing rates using a 3rd party smtp. I use https://TEARcloud.com

There's no verification needed when sending to your email lists. Their leadCRM is currently in beta mode but you can store all your leads in it for free. Just ask for support to give you beta access. Cheers

The term "fake email" is not literal. My application determines the SpamAssassin spam score.

I don't know if it's good to send an email without any links. I don't see the point in doing that. If you're going to send email, I would just send one with links rather than pay double to send email.

You can't use a bit link because you have to add DKIM and SPF records to your domain. A bit link will not allow for that. Plus, I think you would hit the spam folder. I'm not 100% sure what the result would be but I would bet that you would hit spam because A) you can't add DKIM and SPF to bit links and B) because they are bit links being sent via email which means you are either trying to track clicks or cloak a link.

It depends on the type of business I'm sending email to. I'm normally sending to home service type businesses like roofers, plumbers, etc. I get creative with my subject lines and preheaders which helps my open rate significantly. The subject usually reads something like: "Can you handle another roofing job?" and the preheader says: "Did you have a chance to look at this..."

I get around 30%-70% open rate depending on the campaign and niche. I'm send strictly b2b though. I imagine open rates are much lower for b2c emails.
