Dropshipping is a great way to make easy money. Create a professional looking shop, and then drive traffic there, pretty much as simple as that. Many of you are trying too hard to copy this method exactly when there are many of ways discussed on this forum of driving traffic. See what works best for you, then profit.

Is there a method that shows total sales or revenue of a specific shopify store :)..and a best sales page,Thank you

Since OP is busy with making $$$$$. I have created this group chat (after asking him and he suggested to make one yourself).

We can share some in's and out's of Shopify (similar ecom/product selling businesses and make some value).

I'm looking forward to meet some serious people willing to work over it and make it a success.

It might take some days to build up some serious group but yeah keep engaged there.

Let's rock and make some bucks from Shopify.

Waiting for you inside the group. ;)

P.S.: Wish OP would join the group if he feels so. We will be lucky if he joins.

Quoted to bring it up. Come and join discussions about tactics, products and so on.

This is a very top notch method but IMO, it's not very suitable for beginners especially with recurring costs and specifically with Facebook Ads.

Facebooks Ads requires extensive research and campaign and testing. And I mean a lot of testing. Testing requires a flexible budget, that you're not afraid to lose it all if it comes to that but most importantly, the willingness to increase it significantly if you spot an opportunity to scale. And you might still lose it all.

The only way to get experience doing this is 1: Get employed by a Advertising Company and test with other ppl's budget or 2: Test with a analytical mind and open budget - this option will probably be for the rest of us.

Few tips I'm gonna give off the bat.

1. Find a Product that is unique (this is probably mention 100% times, and only you can spot something)

2. Do your Research and Demographics Research, what age would be use your product or wear or which countries will be interested in something like this..

This is usually standard google research, looking infographics, comments in the shopify forums, etc. Put data in excel, note pad, learn and THINK.

4. Create your ad angle - sales pitch (title baiting etc), language, and images/videos, up to 2-3 or up to you.

5. Set up your campaign and TEST your theory.

For example,

1 Campaign - Dildos, 1 Ad Set, 2 Ads (seperate)

1 Ad Set (Interests: Men who like Dildos US), Ad (Purple Dildo) - budget
1 Ad Set (Interests: Men who like Dildos US), Ad (Pink Dildo) - budget

The key here is don't put two ads (pink and purple dildo) under ONE ad Set(this targeting) under Same Budget. As the budget is shared across you will not know how its allocated. This is based on several factors and impossible to figure out. Each Ad gets their own budget.

Then you you review insights of demographics/data you continue to test and test and test like this:

1 Campaign - Dildos
1 Ad Set (Interests: Men who like Dildos US, 24-48 age group), Ad (Purple Dildo) - budget
1 Ad Set (Interests: Men who like Dildos US, 24-48 age group), Ad (Pink Dildo) - budget

Failed? Find out what's working, change one thing in the Ad set and reTEST. the key is to OPTIMIZE.

1 Ad Set (Interests: Men who like Dildos US, Show Mobile Only, Same Age group), Ad (purple Dildo) - budget
1 Ad Set (Interests: Men who like Dildos US, Show Mobile Only, Same Age group) Ad (Pink Dildo) - budget

Failed? Maybe Dildos aren't a good product etc. And you continue to test. The most important thing is data, and how to interpret that data and use that data for your next test.

Succeeded? On to something? Duplicate the ad, optimize it according to insights, maybe only 24-48 age group is clicking or maybe they are just coming form New York? Optimize and scale. Much easier said than done.

Here something I've learned over the years of marketing. If you're targeting Tier 1 countries, have a budget of at least $50USD or more per ad set, this way you can get data faster and optimize it. THIS does not mean you have to use it all, learn to cut off ads when they're not working. If you spend only $10USD, you might be able to get minimal data, but you need to test much more extensively and by that time your post will be aged and will no longer have reach or you will need to redo the ad. Remember that people are bidding against you that MUCH higher budgets, if it so happens that your offer/target is the same, you'd lose. This will of course come down to your niche and product.

Here is an example of my testing. One campaign, 27k reach, 136 views. Other Campaign 45k reach, 14k views. Same budget, same angle, same ad. From here I tested, optimized and got results. OPs method works, but you need to have some money to work with and importantly, you have to be smart.Example.png

I am not sure about 2checkout but they look to be very good for buyers but not that good for sellers. Their security measurements are really a bit too high sometimes. I wanted to buy something from a seller using them and 3x they refunded my payment although I contacted them telling that everything is alright with the transaction. So as a seller it could be difficult to get your money ... if I would have complained then he won't get the money, if he did not send with tracking then no way for him to prove anything

Hmm is it alright then if I only accept payment by PayPal Express Checkout? What happens if I don't do it with 2checkout(since you said its problematic)- what if I only setup with PayPal Express Checkout? Does this method accept Credit Cards?

Then click on the Payment. There are two payments that you have to include and that's Shopify payments by Stripe which will allow you accept credit cards which will ask you to a series of questions. Answer those questions randomly. They don't really matter but what I have seen a lot of people who live outside US struggle with here is Tax ID and SIN number. Let me tell you that you don't need to worry about these just use random numbers. For those who are wondering you add your Payoneer US payment service here as well. The next thing you will need to choose is Paypal Express Checkout and you are done.

I have a problem here. My country doesn't have stripe by shopify so i cant signup for that. And paypal says I need PayPal business account for paypal express checkout.

Anyone who's in a different country can help me out here?

I really need your help on my store. I have an online adult novelty and sex toy store with DIRT CHEAP prices. I have promoted the site on FB, Twitter, and Instagram but no one is buying and I'm not getting as many people to come to the site that I would like. I don't have much money to spend right now. I am involved in a bunch of adult groups on FB that have close to 100k members, my site has had a little over 100 visitors since Monday when I made it live. What can I do to drive traffic and sales. The most expensive item on my site is $15 for a sex toy that retails for over $60. PLEASE HELP!!

I've yet to make any money off this, I'm in the video game niche with it myself but I am familiar with the adult novelty niche.

I'd recommend advertising on Reddit instead. In general, twitter and instagram IS BETTER for the adult niche, but mainly in regards to videos, pics, and camshows. It is a much simpler medium.

Facebook also has the issue of just seeming to convert poorly with adult stuff. They make it harder to share NSFW content, and the groups are much harder to penetrate.

Reddit is more self-serving, especially with weird purchases like those in the adult niche. I've actually looked into purchasing adult niche merchandise on reddit. The anonymous exchange of naughty info just lends itself better to that medium, I would assume.

People much more regularly talk and discuss those objects on reddit at least, I assure you.

Note: Again, I reiterate I'm no expert and honestly don't even understand how to properly 'research' advertising. But no matter how I look at it, reddit should convert better for an adult niche store in my opinion.

Hello, I just want to ask if I can use aliexpress to target US even if I'm not from US? I also can't quite understand the whole concept, if for example a person buys from your site, will you then manually order it or is it automated? And will you receive it first in person then sends it to the buyer or will it go directly to the buyer? Please forgive me if it comes as a dumb question.

Yes you would have to manually order it and you would use the buyer's shipping address, so that it goes directly to them.

And yes you will be sourcing your products from Aliexpress. Okay so what works best are movie products ( avengers, batman, superman, harry potter etc), anime (my neighbor Totoro, Pokemon) and Tv shows - Game of Thrones (my best selling niche).

Isn't this illegal without a license?

How did you setup your Pixel ID to track conversions in terms of purchase? I installed the code through Shopify but I only have three tracking options. How do you set a custom value for conversions? I've run a couple ads so far and am getting charged ridiculous conversion rates even though no one is actually buying anything/completing their transactions. A bit disheartened so if you get a chance mind telling me what I'm doing wrong?

I did this like 2 months ago and my store looked like a branded one. However, I'm from India and had an issue with Payment Gateway processors and I tried sorting out those issues but couldn't really get it fixed. It's impossible to do Dropshipping without a registered business here. To any Indian reading, if you're looking to get into this then do register a business beforehand. I spent over a month setting up my store and it all went to waste. I will be getting back into it after registering a business though.

OP, this is a really informative guide. I spent $300 on a course to learn what you wrote here on BHW. So this is something that's gonna be VERY helpful to beginners. I wanted to know if you're ever planning to write a guide on Facebook Ads?

You get charged when your Ad is shown to people AND also when they click through to your website. The cost depends on your interests' reach.

Amount spent = Amount spent by particular Adset.
Cost(Per View Content) = Per click to your website/ post engagement.
Dear Cryogenesis,

Thank you for your advise. Did you try to dropship from China to India or USA? I believe there won't be any problem to dropship to USA. The only problem is the payment gateway. Any suggestions?

Hey Cryogenesis can you mentor me? I am also having issue with payment gateway processors. Which payment gateway should I use?
I do have a registered business and its the family business so will it be fine if I use that? We do engineering stuff but its still a registered business. Business has been down for the last 2 years and I wanna step up for the family. This looks quite noob friendly to me.

Im still working on this method but found some good products and setting up the store today. Also got alot of other stuff going on.

One thing I see is that people are attached to this "9.99" shipping price point. Of course charging high shipping and free product is the method, but it doesn't have to be 9.99. Plenty of the deals I found cost 2-3$ total after shipping, with ePacket which is the best shipping option. Even if I charge 7.99 or 8.99 for the shipping it still results in a 5-6$ profit, which is still not bad.

This is just a tip for people worried about 10$ shipping, as the lower price point could be a big psychological factor.

1. Which payment method do you use on your Indian Shopify Store?

2. Are you doing your Instagram Traffic or Facebook Ads for the same?

3. Are you doing copyright or non-copyright products?

4. Which company type do we need for an Indian Shopify Store?

Where do you track delivery both standard free shipping and epacket? China-post, USPS?

I have been trying to drive traffic from FB for a day and I just made my FIRST SALE!! Hahaha... ^o^)//
I made profit, but still not enough to cover initial cost. Nevertheless, I am happy that this can be done.

I choose jewelry, phone case, and key chains for my products. Shipping for 1 item is $9.95, 2 items $19.95. For 3 items or more I give 50% off shipping cost. Thus, Shipping cost for 3 items is $14.95, 4 items $19.95, and so on (around $4.95 / product).

Payment gateway: Paypal Express Checkout.

Driving traffic and conversing them is challenging, but I'm still experimenting.

I got my first sale after testing 3 adsets. So far I have spent around $20 just for ads. Now I'm creating simple slideshow video to be used on FB and Instagram. Probably I should set up Instagram Page as well.
