My journey is a RPG

I love games, especially RPG games. But I also love IM, and many times I treat it like a game.
I’m a SEO guy, what can be more close to a game than SEO on IM? You have to play the Google rules or find a way to bypass them. Farm backlinks to give more « power » to your site. Plus, you have to compete with other IMers to get the first spot. Then you have to lead your visitors to do some actions, buy your stuff or others people stuff, subscribe to your list, share your articles …

This is how I used to feel the things, but nowadays it’s more like a habit, I do my job and I don’t feel excited, I don’t have a lot of motivation and it’s harder to complete my goals.
2016 wasn’t that good as I earned half of what I’ve make in 2015, and it impacted my self confidence at work and in my personal life.

The thing is I don’t want to procrastinate anymore, I don’t want to do the minimum to live and that’s it.
I want to have fun, I want to love what I do, I want to have money to accomplish my dreams, I want to be a strongest person physically and emotionally, I want to start a new JOURNEY and I want it to be like a RPG.

Welcome to IMlife !​

The world is very similar to the one you all know, the level of technology is equal to ours and the planet is divided on countries populated by human.
The country I live is called Blackhatland.
Anyway, their are some big differences with the earth planet. The presence of Monsters and Super Heroes.

We count two types of monsters: Procrastinators and Monthlygoalors
To fight them we have super heroes, we call them the IMers !

• Procrastinators are weak, we have to take action to defeat them and they give us xp points.

• Monthlygoalors are way more powerful, they appear at the end of each month, they have a lot of LP (life points. Life points are money. 1LP = $1) and require to have a lot of XP to touch them. IMers can beat them with a unique attack, they only have one chance to kill him with this attack. If the IMer can't kill the Monthlygoalor with his attack, the monster will replicate with « deception » and « nonaccomplishmento » that can seriously damage the country I live. The IMer will need to wait the end of the next month to try to kill him again.

To kill the Monthlygoalor with his attack, the IMers need to have more LP than him and have the required number of XP to touch him.
When killed, the Monthlygoalor drop an item, it can be a video game, a hight tech object, a trip, or other very cool stuffs !

XP points help to grow levels, sometimes after x levels gained, the IMers academy can send me rewards too. I don’t know much about that and will discover when it will happen.
Levels points help to change status, for the moment I’m level 0 so I’m just a novice.

Let start the journey:

I’m a fresh graduate IMers and my first mission is to kill a baby Monthlygoalor the november 30!
Here is his stats: 250 LP and 32 on dodge (so I need to make $250+ and gain 32 XP to kill him).
My class is seo-affiliate/product seller, I start at level 0 with no status.

I have some quest during my journey, they may evolve when some of them are completed but here are the first:

1. Kill the Monthlygoalor of november
2. Got to live from IMtown to IMcity
3. Be strong and respected IMer (12 boss killed)
4. Travel to visit a new country

Day 1 (November 27)

It was a weekend day so some points where easy to take like wake up on time (as I only work the afternoon) and go some hours to the office.
I think creating this game will improve my business so an easy point here too.
I will create more specific action over time, but for the moment I create a new product so create content is the main thing I do.

Health/wellness:

Don’t smoke a cigarette= +1,5
Eat 3 healthy meals= +1
Do 30 minutes+ of workout= +1
Take care of my teeth, skins, hair= +1
Meditate 20 minutes= +1
sleep early and at least 8 hours= +1

I have stopped to smoke the November 2, so for me this is a very important thing for my health at this time. Over time the points for non smoking will decrease.
My workout was 45 min running, hope I will do workout everyday!

Socialization skill is to meet and speak to new people (out of friend circle), and participate actively on social event (I’m a member of an association of entrepreneurs in my town).
I think that trying new things as much as possible is really a good thing, this point was easy as the new thing was the meditation guided.
I’ve take the time (1h30) to call my mother. Things I don’t do often.

Not a super productive day, but I'm realy motivated, wake up fresh and a lot of energy. I also have tons of new idea, that's a very good start!

Don't have taken the time to do exercices cause I have spend a lot of time to improve my appartment. The meditation make me feel good and relaxed. I think it will help me on my journey.

I have spend a lot of time after work to improve my appartment, move things, install shelves, cleanup. I know that having a nice place to live also help to be more happy and productive.

I have worked a lot on the homepage of my new product, improve text and change some part.
In the same time, I have found a cheap quality voice over for the homepage video.
Overall, I'm satisfied by my working day, I wish I could work 2-3 hours more but I do not have energy after 6pm.

Worked on different page of my new product website, installed and tested new video plugin, configured Amazon S3 to host my files. Don't seem that much but those are keys things to get everything works. Also struggled hard with Paypal to transfert money to my account, they really fuck us with their USD/EURO transfert rates, that is ridiculous: I'm paid with USD, they change it to EURO, then when I need to transfert to my bank account they need to do it when I'm on USD, so they transfert again (with fee of coourse) from EURO to USD. And the best after that is that my bank is in France, and when they received money in USD they need to transfert it to EURO once again (and this time the fees are huge!). One more reason to use STRIPE on my new project !

The first Monthlygoalors appeared last night !​

It's 11:45PM
I'm waiting, outside, my sword on my right hand, scanning the sky

After 3 years at the IMers school this is the first time that I'm in front of a real monster. Reading books and watching powerpoint about Monthlygoalors weakness is very different than having them in front of you, ready to replicate if you miss the attack !
I'm a bit stressed, but I know I'll make it. This is only a baby after all, and I got an A+ mention at the fighting test. I'll make it... I'll make it... I'LL MAKE IT !!!!

A dirty scream. I don't know if it's a scream or a laugh, maybe both "hulhulhulhulhul...Hulhulhulhul"

My eyes are recovering and I'm staring to see the Monthlygalors:

- My first day on earth, this travel was sooo boring
- I will eat some humans right now, I'm starving.

Sborludioruhu saw me when I spoke.

- hulhulhulhul ! hulhulhulhul ! (ok I'm sure that's a laugh now)
- And who will stop me from doing that ?

- I will !

- Impossible, human are just stupid and lazy. They spend their time to procrastinate, they not achieve their goals and lives hidden.
- That's what I've learned at the Monthlygoalors's school.
- I have 250 LP and 32 dodges, no human can stop me hulhulhulhulhulhulhulhul !

...

- What? You say nothing? You're shitting in your pants right now hulhulhulhul ! I will start with you, I'm really starving. But don't worry, I'll taste you, you make me laugh a lot with your "I will stop you" hulhulhulhul.

Sborludioruhu started to walk to me, I didn't said a word, looking this horrible thing in his eyes.
When it was at 3 steps of me, I took a deep breath and started to smile.

- Why are you smiling like an idiot, human? Are too stupid to understand that I'll kill you and eat you?

I didn't answered. I smiling more and more, I feel self confident like never before.
He stopped to walk at this time, a bit confused by my attitude. The 2 or 3 seconds that followed seems to be hours.. We still look each others in the eyes. No one move.

Then, without warning, I jumped on his direction !

When I was in the air, The sword ready to slice, I screamed the name of my Ultimate attack:

- SEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOO !!!!

At this moment I saw the fear on this eyes, but it was to late:

XP needed to touch him= 32 Me= 45

Result = OVERKILL

- Yeaaaaaaaaah !!!

I'm screaming as loud as I can, happy to have killed my first Monthlygoalors, I now this is just the beginning and I'll kill many more stronger than him but that's so great !

A moment after, I looked the eye that popped and rolled on the floor, and I see an amazing thing:

The Monthlygoalor dropped an item !!!!
