Currently we're on a shared a managed wordpress shared hosting plan (Developer) from GoDaddy. It's the most expensive version in their managed wordpress range.
However, I feel our traffic has outgrown their plan. We often notice connectivity issues with the site, and a declining trend when it comes to our traffic. It doesn't seem to be able to handle our large traffic very well.
We need a better solution than what we have right now. Our site receives more than 1.5 million unique visitors a month, and more than 3 million page views a month.
We would guess the site to have more than 1500 images stored on 500+ published webpages. Those web pages consist of content and images.
We need something that offers the same features, ddos protection, malware protection, back-ups, auto wordpress upgrades, 100% uptime, etc.
The site needs to be able to handle 300 visitors online at any given time.
The problem is that we have no experience with any other forms of hosting (VPS, Dedicated), let alone the knowledge to handle it efficiently. Nor with migrating to another host. We would prefer to stay at GoDaddy for this reason.
We looked into VPS options, and it looks like it's do-able to learn. We would probably test it with another low traffic site first.
We need something that's easy to manage and learn.
It looks like if we want to have GoDaddy take this out of our hands with "Fully-Managed" it would cost another $1,500 on a yearly basis, which is too much for us.
From above data, what would the "experts" who read this, say we would need in terms of bandwidth, storage, and memory? In order to handle the site's traffic at any given time.
