SEO ADSENSE + AMAZON AFFILIATE LINKS WILL IT AFFECT MY RANKING?

Hello everybody,

I run a amazon affiliate review niche site. Now ive got some traffic I would like to put Adsense on there as well.

But I am a little afraid It will affect my rankings. When I read the Internet they are talking about doing either a Adsense blog or an Amazon affiliate niche site. So I'm wondering why not do both? Is there a reason for this?

I know Google does not like affiliate links, so I have cloacked mine.

Would like to know if there are people here doing both adsense and amazon affiliate in one site, and does this affect your SERP rankings in any way?

DO NOT put Adsense on your Amazon affiliate site BAD IDEA BROSKI. You make 10x or more from the products you sell on Amazons affiliate program than you do Adsense, your goal is to get people to click your link and get to Amazon, but you get paid when someone clicks your Adsense ad.. Contradictory and unnecessary. Never put both on the same site, if you do make sure they're on different pages. Remember your goal, get them to Amazon, buy a product, give you a commission. Much more profitable than the peanuts that Adsense will give you

This makes sense indeed. You don't want to distract people to your adsense links when you want them to go to amazon. Thank you very much!

I agree. This dude is right. And without Adsense your bounce rate is lower. So you have a higher chance to get conversions.

Why not use Adsense?? It doesn't make sense not to .. If you are writing review style articles, I would assume you are using text link, or affiliated banners

Do you have a sidebar? Add a 300x250 adsense block there and you should do OK .. My sidebar ads perform the best on my sites (I use Amazon and Adsense with no issues)

Haha, let me try and clarify a bit ..

If your website is purely a review site (Best xxx type of articles for example), then stick with Amazon .. That is your main source of income.

However, if you have information articles, news articles, or any other type of articles that are not product reviews, then you should consider adding adsense to these pages .. Or to your sidebar, out of the way.

Have you seen the Amazon Native Ads? I have been having some success with them .. They show relevant products to the visitor based on both the content of your website and the cookies on their computers. They convert very well. You could try those if you aren't comfortable adding Adsense

It's not as distracting as you think .. Adsense ads are everywhere on the internet, and everyone is used to them by now.

If it IS distracting enough to grab their attention, then it must be something they are interested in = a click = ££

If they are interested in the product on your page enough, they will either come back, or just search Google again

Look at all the top rated Amazon aff websites.. Do they have AdSense? Nope.
