Foundations Course/Learning source - Lost

Hello everyone, I am looking for a place to learn about affiliate marketing,
as there are a lot of information online and a lot of gurus I really feel lost.
I don't mind paying money, and don't mind doing whatever but I need to know that my investment is worth it,
so please, could you guys recommened a good source for learning about the topic?
at least where should I start?

But again, varied info from varied skill levels, is there a trustworthy place to start learning from, a place which teaches the basics and fundamentals?

There is no magic button or perfect process as all of the people in any IM industry operate a little bit differently.

There are s many different ways to make money in affiliate marketing and so many different "sub" ways to make money in affiliate marketing there can't possibly be a course or instructional manual that will be able to give you a comprehensive, authoritative education there.

To learn how to make money that way, you have to take some of the ideas that are shared and try assorted processes to see what clicks for you based on how you think.

You're looking for a Holy Grail that is just not available in a tidy package with chapters outlined and step by step methodical methods shared.

You'll learn the basics and fundamentals two ways:

1) Read that section that I shared with you and see who is successful and what they are doing.
2) Implement some of the ideas and processes you see from those successful people so that you can make adjustments to fit you and your thought process.

Still, what are the fundamentals? lets say I sign up to an affiliate network, now what? how do I get specific traffic? where do I get the traffic to go to? etc etc...
People here talk about so many platforms and so many techniques its genuinely confusing, I need to understand the basics first, or know even how to approach the subject, what in general should be done
Of course I can follow your tip and try and replicate thousands of ideas, its just not really smart as its time consuming and frustrating to fail again and again and not know why,
people follow principles, in any field, this should not be different

2) Buy a domain from a registrar. InternetBs is a good one as they offer free privacy.
3) Sign up for hosting. Inmotion and powerup are 2 good ones.
4) Set your nameservers in your registrar for the host you chose.
5) Install wordpress on your domain using the cpanel in your host.
6) Write some content on your site and add the links your CPA network offers to generate banners.
