This shit is extremely confusing. :'(
Rankings are dropping after sending pbn links.
A couple of days back my site was at #12. So i decided to drop 1 more PBN links, and it dropped to 25-30.
Right now, it's at #27

Should I again drop PBN links / maintain same link velocity or wait for sometime till things gets settled?
What do you do during Google Dance period?

PS: Anchor text ratio are chosen perfectly to avoid over optimization.Site is 6 months old. Sorry for my bad English _/\_

I hope you got quality PBN links .....
While my site is GD i concentrate building more quality links..I would suggest add some guest post real looking first don't keep adding PBN links

Wait for sometime! This is happening with me as well!

slowly drip them! try with guest posts & other more high quality links!

Google Dance will appear on most of the sites while building links,no worries for that you can keep build the quality links to your site it will settle down soon. And also check with quality and spam score of old links and disavow the links with the high spam score.

drop means, you removed the link or you are creating the link. Either case wait for some more time, its not reflect quickly.

Google has been doing weird shit recently. Tell you what, dropped 25 PBN links for a website, keyword appears on 17th position after 2 weeks, dances between 15-20 for a week and baam out of 100. A week later, to and fro between 15 and 200. A month later it settled on 13. Been a few weeks and its still there.

That didn't happen with just one of my sites but will almost all of them that i built and SEOed in last few months. Don't stop and keep building your links, ranking will eventually settle sooner or later.

There is nothing you can do for the site during Google dance except being consistent with your link building. Later when you maintain more projects life gets easier.

just wait. It will settle eventually. For it takes 3-4 months usually. Just part of the game

wait and see It will settle eventually.Never stop create backlink.

eh 25 links and it only moved 4 ranks? Was they decent pbn links or the 1/2$ ones?

But I have had the same experience as you, I usually end up a little higher then where the dance leaves me

His keyword appeared on position 17 after he dropped the PBN links. His keyword therefore jumped from NA to #13, but it took some time to settle their after it initially appeared on 17 because of the PBN links.

As others have been saying, continue building links as if nothing has happened and check your spam score. A dance is just that, a dance and it's something you'll usually have to deal with anyway. Just record your movements in the serps, for research purposes and report them back here.

I was high on caffiene. Appeared on 17 from being nowhere initially. Finally settled on 13. :)

Wont call my own PBN links indecent ;)

That. Thank you for the explanation.

I never found this source again. But I know Google has an algorithm where they drop your site on purpose after they notice more links coming in, so that you can't measure A/B testing. Then weeks later it comes back up and the links finally take effect..... I can't find the source for this, but I recall it was one of their patents.

If you are confident about the quality of links that you are building, then just carry on doing what you do. Don't worry about Google, it will drive you crazy and slow your progress down doing so. Just do your thing and continue planting your seeds, and Google will catch up on their own time.

You cannot do anything about Google dance. Just continue doing your normal SEO and continue updating your website with quality and useful content. Be patient and you'll see, it'll return to normal.
