I have seen a few journey's, and 90% of journey's have the same thing in common, "good luck good luck" 2 weeks later "any updates?"...

We'll see if this one turns out differently :)

My journey is to create at least one succesful (500$ p/w) store as soon as possible.

I started on October 16th, and here is the rundown of what has happened:

Started a shop in a jewelry niche, with reddit ads, and got about 200 clicks and no sales. Most people didn't even get to checkout, let alone add items to cart. I read that 67.8% of online carts are abandoned. I do know that other people are having success with a brand new shopify jewelry niche store, but they use facebook ads.

Fast forward a few weeks of banging my head against reddit ads, editing, picking subreddits, i gave up and started a new niche. I know nothing about fashion and it takes minutes to create a new store.

I started this niche 3 days ago, while i took a break from 2 weeks of research. Some page visits, no sales.

My website design and product selection looks good, now i will be focusing on SEO and marketing.

I have taken a few steps to get traffic, and i will share them in just a bit.

So far with a brand new website and a brand new instagram account with massplanner:

how much did you pay for 200 clicks on reddit ?
its usually about 5$ per 100 clicks for me with 0.5 ctr, i'm trying out lazer targetting ads with 5$ atm

if you have a good ad, 1 ctr isn't hard, so you'll be paying 2.2+$ for 100 clicks, no not yet, i'll try facebook ads tomorrow, and see how i go. It might only take me 2 weeks to hit top 5 google with this niche, so i'll be working on that. I'll let you know the results of my favebook ad experiments. There is a program i saw for 47 USD that lets you see any businesses facebook ads, it might be worth investing into, and just copy what works. Unless there are free altenratives out there

Update:

Edited my site recently, pretty happy with the website, but i'm fairly certain my niche sucks. Tried out facebook ads, the ad is a major clickbait, but suprisingly, no clicks. I am going to try another niche that i think is going to be much better.

I performed proper research for the first time, instead of trying to re-invent the wheel, and found some websites that are worth copying, i will spend a few days working on the website, and then promote the website.

Steps for the next few days:
Make a long term niche website, pick an item from the website, use free + shipping facebook ads.

I have a better understanding now of shopify stores than i did 3 weeks ago, i have much better confidence going into this last niche. If this doesn't sell then the issue won't be the niche but my lack of competence.

Hi bro,how is things going? Facebook ads is really very expensive!

Drop shipping from aliexpress? If yes, you need to rethink about your niche. Because the quality of imitation jewels from ali sellers is really bad...I've tried this niche in small scale for local sale....Just my cent...anyway all the best for your journey..

Fb ads are indeed expensive, but i will keep trying for now. I think when playing the drophipping game, best selling items are a must, and this video pretty much shows what i mean

I found a really good niche, and really good items, so i'm going to set up a new store and hopefully make bank! Now i just need to find what ads they run. I am using addicted.io to spy on my chosen competitor, and from the looks of it, he is advertising in a much better way than i am.

Made my website. I have about 10 items up, but the main item that i am using f+s method is my main focus for now.
I am testing out facebook ads for the next week, the ads were a little complicated to get my head around, but i think i have an okay grasp now. I have set my daily limit to 5$ per day (conversions), and will keep trying different settings. For once i am actually confident in my products (goes to show how important research is instead of yoloing.

Now that you abandoned the last Niche, what was it ? :)

And when it's "Free+Shipping", it means the customer pay the shipping (4$ for example) and you pay the product 2.3$ right ?
Can you put a limit to the order ? Like 1 per person ?
And can you put like a shipping rate every time people add a product ?
Like 5$ one product, and +1.2$ each product more ?

Thank you for answering :)

see how many searches in your niche, then try to see how many searches of your micro niche. if people search for dress, then see what type of dress long short above knee, under knee etc.
In ads make sure you get smoken hot girl wear a sexy dress with caption saying something like get your date tonight or your date is wating for you, look amazing for your date or some crap. if you have a wife or gf for sure some times she say hey look at this dress i like it. next time she does that see the ad it self and copy what they did. keep in mind that people browsing social media is not there to buy things they are doing some stuff. you must make them want to buy.

I took down the shopify store, but the niche was baby clothes, specifically newborns. http://sale.aliexpress.com/__pc/col...getId=562&collection-id=443522&node-id=108230

Yeah, 8.95 shipping for a cheap product, but only one of my products are f+s, the rest are on "sale" for a hefty margin
yes there is an option in shopify
there is a custom shipping rate in shopify, but i haven't used it
probably

np, good luck :)
