My Shopify Journey A-Z

It looks like we may have found a winner. I switched my interests to a much better audience and the clicks blew up. I need to experiment with interests before i start increasing my budget.

So we found a winner and now i just need to play around with things and increase my budgets. I got two sales from maybe $3 investment, but we are still optimising and experimenting with things, once things are rolling i will increase the budgets.

I need to split test ads for the next few days, once i find the right settings we should be gucci.

558 visitor thats more than enough to make 500$, how many adset that you use per campaign to get this number of visitors, ? and how much daily budget.
i have setted a campaign with 6 adsets 5$ each and run it for 4 days but no sales neither add to cart get 30 visit daily to my store,.
following your journey keep it up

Yeah i wish 500 visitors got me 500$ haha. I switched to a better targeting system today, now i need to let it optimise for 3-4 days.

I am not running many ad sets, today i ran two ad sets at 7$ each. The new ads have only been running for about 9 hours, so i think that if in 3-4 days perhaps optimisation will kick in well.

Tomorrow i will run 3 ads, the same two, but i will add one more device/age refined ad and let them run for a few days.

U dont focus on SEO but only on FB ads for traffic?
Yeah.

Update, Day two of testing winner:

We are about halfway through the day, and i took these picks 2min ago. My conversion rates are pretty bad, so i have gone ahead and optimized the landing page a few minutes ago too. The landing page i had was bare-bones, other than text there was nothing else on there. I have added new images and product security "badges". I have also changed the text to actually look good, and now the last thing is whether or not i should make it so they go to a unique "add to cart" page after they click add to cart or they stay on the same page, and can browse around. I will try the default setting for now.

With all this done, i would say i have found a winner and optimized my landing page, now to see how the conversions perform.

I still have not scaled the ads, i'm just testing things out first.

are you putting the landing page between facebook and your store ?
you don't redirect directly to your product ?

Same question.. Isn`t it better to send them straight to your store?

landing page is the page where they land on when they click on my ad. which is my product page. I made it looks much better and more "legit".

my conversion rates are still pretty terrible though, not sure if its an optimisation thing, since today is day two, i'll wait and see how it goes tomorrow. I'm trying out different interests and i'm getting many different results in terms of conversions, it might be an optimisation thing since today we've had 107 atc so far, and only two sales. I can't think of a reason why there are so many atc but so little sales other than it being an optimisation thing.

How much you've spent so far on testing ads?

End of day 2 testing. I will wait and see how things go tomorrow

small update: halfway through day 3

graph.png

I configured a graph to show my shopify conversion rates over the past two and a half days to get a mental picture of the facebook ad optimization period. A lot of people say facebook optimizes ads in the background, and i just want to see what this will be like over a 5 day peroid. I have been using the same interests and the same ads, so if this doesn't go better in the next two days i will experiment with more interests, and try LLAs afterwards.

I hear people have 2-3% purchase conversion rates, which would be great.

I think i am well on my way to 500$ per week as was the goal, and i will be ending this thread posting here. Thank you for lurking on this thread and maybe you got something, maybe not. Good luck to you on your journey to monetary freedom, if you persevere and i am certain you will succeed.

I really like this idea. Looks like it's going to be good.

How much did you spend there mate?

Hi,
Do you target with the FB ads only the US or do you have worldwide targeting?

Thank you
