Received a copyright claim

Pay the $20 and be done with it?

If your appeal got rejected twice you were not careful enough in providing good information... now the 420 might be your best luck.
I provided my full information, full name, full address, number, email address, my video link, etc. It's all there, filled out the form completely, all are correct, so i don't know why youtube rejected it and telling me to provide full information.
No, I will not pay $20. How can i be sure that after i paid him, he will retract the claim? So no payment.

umm maybe try to get his IP addres from his mail and see from where he is? or ask for his paypal address and then search it on Google, or Google his email address - if he is from the same country u r in - threat him that u r going to sue him and ask 200$ :) put his IP address details in your mail and tell him that u know everything about him that is necessary to sue

We're from the same country. Can't find his ip address in the mail header. I searched on how to find sender ip address but his ip address is not showing in the email header.

I finally received a reply from youtube:
Thank you for your counter notification. It has been forwarded to the party that sent the takedown notification.
Keep in mind that by submitting this counter notification, you’ve initiated a formal legal dispute process. As such, YouTube will handle this process in accordance with the law. This process takes some time, so we kindly ask for your patience.
Upon forwarding your counter notification to the claimant, we will allow them 10 - 14 business days from this date to respond with evidence that they have taken court action against you to prevent the reinstatement of the video(s) in question.
If we receive no response, after that time period your videos will be restored and the associated penalties on your account will be resolved.

I am very sure he will not sue me in court because he knows I am the real creator of the video. But what if he respond to youtube with fake documents and fake evidence that shows he has taken court action against me? Then youtube will no longer reinstate my video just like that? I am sure he is good at faking everything because he makes youtube believe he's the real owner of the video.
I am very disappointed. I thought with my counter notification, youtube will review the video and the claimants channel.

make a post here, with all the screenshots of the mails that he sent you: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/youtube

Did you use any copyrighted material within your video? I remember one of my game videos getting flagged only because it played some background music from some popular track for 5 seconds max. They are idiots, but you can't do anything lol..

I'll try that later.

No copyrighted material in my video. The claimant is just making bogus copyright claim. It shows in our email conversation, he just want money.

how about filing a dispute?
How do I file dispute? In the video manager there is only a link for counter notification and I already submitted that.

Just an update, after 14 days of waiting my video was reinstated. The claimant did not sue me in court because he is just making a false copyright claim.
I am still wondering how he made youtube believe he is the real owner of the video when he filed the copyright claim. Does youtube ever check or review every copyright claim? Because there is really no way in his channel there is a video like mine. Here is his channel if anyone wants to see it UCjg7_cnqLP6wV27tzWejyLg

No, my adsense is still active and my monetization is also active when I received the copyright claim but I got the copyright strike which will expire on january, only 3 months. But now the strike is gone. :)
The bad thing is that I lost the ranking on my video. Before they remove the video I can get 15k-20k views/day, now 10 hrs after they return the video, only 5 views were added :(
