DAMN that's high! Glad to hear you fixed it.
I actually didn't even notice it, I was using a few widget links here and there, and it ran it straight up.
how did you figure out what links to disavowed? did you use majestic , ahref, something else? thanks in advance
And I just went through and manual selected them, if they wasn't indexed on google and a little spammy I just deleted them.

i think this update is more about "onsite" factor, site navigation, content etc rather than offsite factor...

i have 2 blog with one louzy site nav,bad content spell ,with only max 200 char post is hit really hard from 8k Unique visit to just 128 visitor dailly while the second blog is prety much the same but not as hard the first one (40% decreased dailly visit) , The onsite is slightly much better than the first blog egg content is well written around 500 Char for each post but site structure is far from "standart"
Could be... as traffic dropped to one of my sites with autoblog content (low quality).

Dancing again for me today :) i just waiting ,no any change in off site and on site

Just wait until this update is over. Anything you do now will most likely be just waist of time and money.

I disagree with this. Like MikeyMikey13 my incoming anchor ratio was too high. I adjusted existing anchor and built a few more raw anchor. Site recovered within 3 days. This is for a 14 year old site. Starting on the 12th droped -50 for main keyword and slightly less for related keywords. I did "nothing" at first and the main keyword only danced 5 spots, never popped back on top.

I recommend anyone with an aged site with consistent rankings that tanked for the main keywords reevaluate your anchor %.

I agree with you.
My main keyword anchor % was too high (26% !!!).
Start to change anchor text today, adding a lot of LSI.
We'll see if this help in the next days.
I think so.

One of my pages has key phrase in the URL and the page disappeared from top 100. I think the naked url links which contain keywords are also not safe.....can someone confirm? I am thinking of changing the url now.

Still the update is going on. I see some crazy ups and downs today too.

So far i have built new links using only naked URL anchors, worked on on-page seo & cleaning up content, removed a few pages that had no traffic, and also removed PBN links that did not belong to me. Steady rises again on a daily basis.

No downs for me, just ups. Mainly on my newest project (3ish months old), just broke top 10 and 5 today on 9 keywords. Have not changed anything SEO wise. Didn't even realize there was an (alleged?) algorithm update :p

Today I saw lots of ups and downs in the serps again. Mostly ups and downs and then up again etc.

I have two websites in one niche. Both positions are #5-#20. I will change the anchors from LSI/Exact Match to URL/Branded for 30% of the PBN links and will build some Web 2.0s with URL/Branded anchor manually for one of this two websites. Lets see if lowering the anchor text will help.

I guess the anchor plays a big part in the recent google update. I have one website on which I made exact match anchor pbn links last month. This website fell back from #2 to #20. I think it is because of the exact match anchors I did.

just my two cents

anyone seen any changes from PBN links for YT, from this G update?

i think the problem could be that your homepage is more optimized for that particular keyword and the page that you have mentioned is filterd by google, because it thinks that it has duplicate content. also, maybe that page that you are talking about has received tons of backlinks quickly

can you please let me know if my assumptions are correct?

I ignore all these google dances, if you just have a solid site, normal links, not over optimized seo, I don't have such issue
