Google algo update today

I am noticing lots of ups and downs as well, over the last week and more so this morning.Very frustrating. Every time i look i have moved again as has everyone else on the page. Guess we just have to sit and wait it out. In the meantime i am throwing out many new sites to use for testing once this settles down a bit!
 
Pretty sure this is Penguin. If not it has to be something completely new.

This can't just be a "core" update.

I guess we just gotta wait for the official announcement, which should be coming soon since it seems to be rolling out in the US now.
 
I think it's about penguin update I hope so and even my clients some websites rankings got improved and some are got down which are Indian based websites.
 
Penguin maybe ... it's a google dance now. One of my client websites yesterday was reach top position in first page and then ....boom didn't see it in first 10 pages of google and i think is nowere because i can found it. And then it show up again, but now i do a search and is nowere. I only used web2.0 and natural backlinks...
How much to wait to see the effect ?
 
Complete BS.. rankings are just constantly going up & down. NEVER seen this before..
 
Google dance here ,see ranking improving in LSI keyword's and dancing in main keyword's .
 
Zero change for me thus far...

Which spinner did you use for the site that wasn't hit?
 
Dancing from #1 to unranked. I switched up my anchors and lowered my exact match. Hoping to god it sticks.
 
My sites are still having a heavy google dance. For some keywords which were dropping about 5-15 positions it seems the google dance stopped. Hopefully not.
First time I experience this kinda google dance - this is not a normal one. Not really sure what this update is about. I was thinking about the anchor ratio, but not sure.

Its really a big pain to see the money sites dancing without to know when and how it will come to an end.
 
All the speculation on what it is or isn't is pretty frustrating. I think we can all agree big G is making more than your typical everyday tweak, test, or adjustment.

When webmasters see and report on this much flux in rank G is probably pulling levers and twisting knobs, and recording how the type of sites they're looking to affect most react to their testing.

Anyhow, with that being said, my site that has seen the biggest dip in traffic and positions in Search Console had a pretty robust link profile. Lots of international links... but mostly branded and generic anchor text. Just some more food for thought.

dropped and now stable

not any improve

in my own case , i just can say ; i used many links for my first page , natural links but all for my main page and main keyword , without spreading


what is it , i am partly sure it is about to OVER SEO , more than normal using on/off- site seo

or

it is new update around penguin and rank and social signals , but didnt work perfectly ( out of control )

Everyone please check the correlation between your CTR & position in web masters and share your findings.. I have come to the conclusion that rank brain is mentally ill. Everyday my CTR is high rankings rise & everyday it is low rankings drop.

I already knew there was a correlation between CTR and positions but it looks like after the update this has become a bigger ranking factor.

I have been building powerful links to my domain in a competitive niche at which i was dominating and yet no serp increase only up one day and down the other. No signs at all of a pre serp rise google dance.

I am thinking about manipulating CTR and reporting back with the results and i am aware that there is a software that can do this.

there is a software here in forum capable of manipulating ctr, please report back your findings.
 
it's exactly the same over and over again :) Google needs more $ from adwords so they drop some sites. Did you received messages with AdWords coupons? I did :) It is waste of time to look for a reason, if you are lucky your site didnt fall, if not - you should forget about this domain, register new ones and start again. It is that simple, it always was. Everything which was working before so called "penguin updates" works now, it is just dropping sites randomly to get more $ from adwords. Stop wasting time asking "why?", just go grab new domains and start with them...

and to finish up this topic: do you like using disavow tool? If so and your site(s) went down now - look in the mirror and thanks yourself... you are hero!

Funny that you say this lol they sent a $100 off adwords card to my house! Also i never disavow any links because i know it doesn't work. PS: I also spend about $400 a month with adwords.
 
Its actually penguin update only but google named as chatter update. All position has changed.
