This is maybe the most strange update. Since September 2nd my sites which ranked 1-2 on med/hard competition keywords are dropping to nowhere and than re- appearing on previous ranking positions sometimes twice a day. Anyone else experiencing this?

The update is yet to stabilize so don't panic. It's called the after-effect of a major update.

who started the "myth" that this likely penguin teaser did not happen in the US? Totally false. My niche has been getting crazy serp Flux since Saturday. All of my keywords including brand name got the infamous page 5-7 slap.

I experience the same thing. Keywords are dropping, bouncing back, dropping and so on maybe 4-5 times per day. I could refresh Serpbook every few minutes and it would show me lots of Alerts.

It is like this for about 5 websites. I am just wondering when this will stop and how it will stop (even better rankings or 2nd page).

i always use normal natural link bulding for my all site

2 of them dropped from first page to 3rd page and 6th page - and didnt back to their old position not even on time

2 of them sticked to their old position on first rank of first page


for every body that have paid link or bought bulk backlinks they are in their old position and didnt changed

when i say link bulding i mean : submiting articles , profile link , comment link . follow - nofollow , site wide , sidebar all mixed

when i mean buying links of bulk backlink i mean , 2k backlink in 2 day in just sidebars

Try adding your site in analytics, check if your main keywords not repeated too many times. Build some backlinks with your main keyword and website address. This is what i did i don't know if it helped or not..

My keywords are fluctuation rapidly as well. Serpbook updates every 2 hours and the keyword keep bouncing up & down.

Apart from adding my site to any analytics , i did all of others seo works


problem is this : effect of this update was not Equal on all of my site

strange things are going on atm... I have a site jumping around with all 20 keywords up and down every 3 - 4 hours!

Some US site rank not found but Canada and South Africa Site keywords are better position

will have to wait for another 3-4 days for things to settle. Lost 10 positions on 4 keywords. Some are maintaining it. Those which were higher have lost more. Those on lower positions didn't get hit that much. Anyone notice this?

After some digging through the results for all my US, FR, IT, ES and DE rankings they all continue to fluctuate except a few FR sites which gained a few positions since the update. I went through the projects to see why these are not affected and even benefiting from the update and the other FR are bouncing around and the only difference is the spinners I used on T1 since all the backlinks are the same 1:1 (same GSA list up to the last link, same T1 mix), the content is the same, not the same text but quantity and quality + other on-page factors , same domain age etc... It might be something related to the content used on T1 and the uniqueness of the content. A friend of mine came to the same conclusion on his French sites. Since for the other languages I use only one spinner + they are all in flux I can not say anything for sure.
