A journal that i dont plan to quit!!

Hey Tssen. This maybe what you are doing or is common knowledge and I just caught on to something but I'll toss it out to everyone following this thread for conversation...

So I was thinking more today on backlinks and Tssen's 0% conversion rate from 80 some hits and "i will be posting them to other article sites and bookmarking them etc." got me thinking. How can we take advantage of low conversions. Even the successful IMers have what 5%? Thats a lot of people not buying an affiliates product.

Many blackhatters are talking about and focusing on getting traffic to their landing site or affiliate page. All articles, twits, social networking, and backlinks go to the landing page. People see backlinks as raising PR or raising your google search position to get higher in search engines. What I see less talked about is how backlinks are mini advertisements and generate their own traffic.

Backlinks are gonna grab mass attention and send the traffic to article sites where you get a tiny credit of $. Then you pump them up there on your niche topic and have amazon products related to the niche but that are not your specific affiliate product.

Instead of a linkwheel its more like a link spider web.
As an example if you are pushing a weight loss product on your affilate landing page you'd have 1 article on ezine talking about being a guy losing weight. Your backlinks go to that article are going to be from male centered sources. Bodybuilding.com, askmen.com, men focused blogs etc. That article points to your affiliate.
Then over on hubpages or squidoo you have an article about a women losing weight using she and her as the pronouns and having a female point of view pointing to the same affilate page.
Its going to have backlinks from wedding sites, baby sites, female centric blogs.
Each line of this spider web is its own independant keyword or target audience.
This would end up being different from having the same keyword on multiple article site and multiple 2.0 sites.

Thats what I am thinking about and focusing on. Still in the learning and reading phase right now. I'm looking to start up later this month or the begining of August. I might start up my own journal at that time.

Sorry my net died out last night (stupid DSL modem) so i havent been on the net to reply OR do any research but i have written 6 articles =]. Ive been thinking of dropping my first niche because arghh im not really into it and im just very un interested in it. When i write articles for it i just want to get it done and thats it.

Before my net died i was able to social bookmark a few articles with onlywire (love it). I didnt want to bookmark all my articles or else it might look like spam.
I sent my author pages RSS to a few RSS sites a few months ago. Im not sure if i need to repeat that because i read somewhere they update automatically everytime you add an article.

Rhianni32 I think i understand what your saying. So splitting the keywords into 2 different views (male and female) to get 2 different kinds of traffic (basic breakdown)? Is that what you mean? Cheers

LOL I've rewritten this so many times. The two points of view was just an example. Not all niches can be broken down into male and female but I bet they can be broken down. I'll use my losing weight example. The numbers I list are pulled out of my ass to illustrate my point.

If 10,000 people a month are googling "lose weight" and we rank high we get some of that traffic to our site. No matter how high we rank the most traffic we can get is capped out at 10,000.
However there are people who don't need to google how to lose weight they know where to go.
500 people are over on a dieting and cooking website talking about which foods to eat to lose weight. Thats a target audience that needs a target article. An article saying "combine cooking with this product" will work a lot better then "buy this product". You could still reuse the article for all the different cooking websites.

Onlywire. Yeah I plan to use that. It looks like it would save a lot of time.

LOL makes a lot more sense now and i think ive done that for a few articles (maybe not, not sure). Ill try it out when i write more articles tomorrow and see how it goes. the thing that sucks is that ezine is closed for the weekend so i wont be able to track the results till end of next week (new pen name).

What I have been doing for the past few hrs and hrs to come is been signing up with High PR sites and posting my article links. I have 26 articles and i put 6 -7links in each site so i have to sign up with 4 different accounts....30 sites = a lot of time.

Im currently using Paul and angelas backlinks and together theres about 250+ so far and i plan to do about 20-30 a day. I should be done in an 2 or 3 hrs. Its not so bad because i watch Tv while i do it and 28 days later is on soon LOL.

So far I have done 20 with 2 accounts. Need to do them again with 2 more accounts. If someone knows a faster way (not outsourcing) then please do share with me.

Where are your articles based?

Ezinearticles?
Associated Content?

Currently I submit them too

ezine
articlesbase
goarticles
searchwarp

I was planning to submi them to article alley and article dashboard.

I didn't want to send them to too many just the main ones.

I need to sign up to a lot of those social sites for my links too.
However once they are done at least it will be easier that you just log in and drop a link.
I'm keeping my eyes open for a program that will automatically open up a website and log you in. For the time being I do not want to use those backlink blasters that spams out thousands of links.

Alright so What day is this? LOL Heres my update

Sun 12/7 ( 4:27am)

My sleeping time table has been pretty fuked LOL but i actually getting use to sleeping at 5am and waking up at 3pm. Uni starts on monday and i passed all my subjects for my previous semester:).

Anyway Today from (6pm till 11) I have been building backlinks from pauls may packet (20) to the same links and yesterday. Now this actually takes me a long time considering the TV is on and dinner too (excuses excuses).

Signing up to 20 high PR sites with 28 articles is pretty time consuming (i dont have money to outsource but its ok). It gets tiring too cause i have to sign up with the same site 4 times -_-.

I will be doing this everyday for a month or so or close to everyday seeing how my school workload turns out.

I wrote 4 articles for my 3rd niche and submitted 2 to my 2nd niche.... I have 3 niches atm.

My goal was 500 by end of july....Its nearly mid july and ive made ZILCHH. Kinda got me abit depressed and its probably because im not doing enough....therefore i need to push my self harder cause obviously this isnt hard enough!

I dont no how to use a blog properly!! Ive always thought about it but i always find a reason not to and i dont no why!

Theres one article i am really interest in and been taking note of it for a few weeks since i had it up. It was 3rd with quotes. Then without quotes it was no where to be seen. This was about 2 weeks ago. I was guessing i need backlinks.

So then i started backlinking a bit i had about 30 on it 2 weeks ago) and i checked today and its no where to be seen....maybe the backlinking was inconsistent because i did it all in 1 day and then never touched it again. well after backlinking today i should have 70 backlinks to it (take a few away assuming some sites deleted account). I will give it a week and see how it goes.

Question
If im backlinking my articles on ezine and i have these articles posted somewhere else eg goarticle as well, should i backlink to the goarticle sites too?

Im going to sleep now have a good night guys.

Ok I like this journal, but I think that you have a couple things wrong.

First of all. Google has stated that duplicate content does not hurt you. I can try and find the link, but the dup content myth is false. However, I really see no need to post articles to any other article site especially if you are rewriting them. EZA gets like 70% of the traffic of article directories. Also Google seems to give them more love out of any of the article directories, which means your article is going to rank higher if you put it on Ezine.

You probably have it somewhere on your thread, but do you have a landing page you are promoting or just direct linking?

Basically you need something that promotes your link to rank high in google for search terms that will get you targeted buyers.

The nice thing about article marketing is you can get many different articles to rank for different keywords with less effort than trying to get on site to rank high for all those keywords.

So I think that Rhianni32 is wrong. You do need multiple articles for one keyword. So let's take the keyword: make money online.

When people type in make money online you want them to find your article. So you write an article targeting make money online. But you need to write more articles targeting make money online that LINK to your original article so that article ranks higher and you get more traffic. If that makes sense :)

G'day, I wanted to address a few points, seeing as you're new at this and it seems you are pretty much going at random, if you don't mind me saying so. What I mean by that is:

One thing you really need to work out for yourself is whether you want to use these articles for SEO or Traffic. Doing both simply won't work; or, more accurately, won't work well. Articles are usually used for SEO-promoting blogs/main sites instead of traffic, and blogs, in turn, are usually used more for promoting main sites than items. (Unless you mean CPC ads, which fail miserably)

Even if you used blogs for money (Pay Per Post, CPA, CPC), it would still be a better idea to direct the articles to the blogs.

If you want to use them directly for traffic, I strongly advise you to instead market directly on Ebay's "Wanted Section", Niche Forums or Yahoo! Answers. Yahoo! Answers has as an added effect that it takes 30 seconds to make a quality posts, and every question which has selected a best answer, and every best answer itself, gives more linkjuice than an article would over a lot of Article Directories, as well as adding to your authority level for whatever keyword is used in the Question (A.K.A. Title), AND it has a high chance of selling a product or service, as the Qers are EXTREMELY targeted.

So, in order to make an effective linking schedule, you follow something along the lines of this:

6 web 2.0 properties (which you know from linkwheel - randomize the amount of different properties: 2 bloggers, 3 Hubpages, 1 wordpress blog, as an example), 3 Squidoo lenses and 1 main site. You link hem as such:

Web property 1 to web property 2.
Web property 2 to web property 3.
Web property 3 to web property 4.
Web property 4 to web property 5.
Web property 5 to web property 6.
Web property 6 to web property 1. (Optional; you may NOT want to fully link them to avoid Google from detecting a Greedy Network.)

Web property 1 to Squidoo Page 1.
Web property 2 and 3 to Squidoo Page 2.
Web property 4 and 5 to Squidoo Page 3.
Web property 6 to Squidoo Page 1. (Optional)

Squidoo Page 1 to web property 2 and 3.
Squidoo Page 2 to web property 4 and 5.
Squidoo Page 3 to web property 6 and 1.

All pages to Main site. (At least Webproperty 2 and 6 and Squidoo page 2)

Main site is a wordpress blog with a salespage or an Iframe/redirect to a CPS offer (Cost Per Sale). I prefer Iframes.

Then you link 6 or so articles each week to each Squidoo page, about 5 to the Main age and optionally a few random ones to the web properties.

It's easier when you draw it out. If I can find the diagram for this, I'll post it.

This is a better way to start than what you are doing now.

If you have questions about either these Linkwheels or Direct Marketing (Via Y!A with SEO), don't hesitate to ask.

NOTE: If you are responding to this with a question, please PM me to notify, as I forget to check threads.

So I think that Rhianni32 is wrong. You do need multiple articles for one keyword. So let's take the keyword: make money online.

Perhaps I should clarify myself.
I think the same article with the same keyword on multiple sites is good.
I think the different articles with different keywords on the same site is good.
I think different articles with the same keyword on one site is bad.

wow i just woke up and now have so much to read...love it!!!!!

I havent eaten yet im actually still really tired..its 5 pm LOL im only awake because my parents came over see how im doing.. at 4 30 :) (nice right?)

teenmoney

Im not rewriting the articles more well i am kinda just the introduction and i post them to ezine and then spread them out to other article directories just so google see juice from other directories.

Um I hae 3 niches, the first niche i have made a site (really bad) and the other 2 are forwarded to merchants page. I was thinking of redirecting the 1st niche to the merchant page too.

Linking articles with the same keyword to other with the same keyword articles...that makes a lot of sense and it wouldnt hurt for me to test that out. I will change my articles tomorrow on a monday because eza will probably be sunday night by then. I will test it out and link a few articles with the same keywords to each other and keep an eye on it!
:D

IcedCube
Thanks for the suggestion of me going random...i feel like i am at times. Tonight i WILL give the LW another TRY according to how you said to do it. The first 1 i did didnt do much... but maybe i tihnk i need to do more?

Will post my days work tonight!

"The first 1 i did didnt do much... but maybe i tihnk i need to do more?"

Trust me tssen; if I had your dedication and motivation, I could retire in 1-3 years. I'm still looking for the diagram, so I'll edit when I find it. If you don't mind, I'll respond to your PM here, so that if anyone else has these questions, they are now answered:

"Hi thanks for the post in the thread Well i wanted the articles to rank high in the SEO... My main site is a website but i was thinking of direct linking to merchants page. Isnt SEO to bring traffic? or is there a difference? Thanks for the linkwheel its a great improvisation of the old 1!

Cheers"

I think you mean "improvement". ^^ Although SEO is ment to bring in traffic, it getting higher pageranks for keywords on Search Engines, rather than actually getting people to click links in the article.

If I remember correctly, you showed stats where 6% was Search Engine traffic. This means that you are primarily getting traffic FROM your articles, which is of course redundant, as barely anyone reads articles.

Whenever you upload an article, do it as follows: upload it only to the top 5 Article directories, which would be EzineArticle and a few others (Google Top Article Directories for them). Spending time to upload them to 20 is wasted time, because for every approval, you could have made 3 Y!A posts, which give you so much more SEO power.

Then, Digg or Stumble (Nothing else) every article in EZINEARTICLES (not the other ones).

NOTE: it may be best to only upload them to ezinearticles. Will save more time to dedicate to other things, such as building linkwheels.

A word about keywords: what you will want to do, is get a main page in a crowded niche: such as Men's Health, Weight Loss, Loan/Debt, Making Money or something similar. However, you will not be promoting the direct keyword related to it, or at least not a lot.

What you will do is enter these aforementioned keywords to a keyword tool, which will search related keyword which high ranks (even more than 300 searches), but not to high to get Page 1 for (there are a lot of these tools on BHW, use Search).

Examples would be, for Weightloss:

- Lose Weight
- How to lose weight fast
- Fast Weight Loss
- Easy Weight Loss
- Losing Weight With Diets

AKA: Longtailed keywords with enough searches.

Now, this will contribute to the Weight Loss keyword authority in time (think: 6 months - 2 years), this will get you pretty high spots to Weight Loss, as well as many unintentional keywords. (Although you shouldn't aim for that, lots of people are better in SEO than us, so we won't come close to them, unless we have XRumer spams for a straight year, FG, lots of bookmarking and article marketing, etc.)

Any Y!A and article post will link to your Forwarding Domain. Y!A will take first place itself, and users clicking on it will indirectly be referred to your site, and the SEO is contributed to as well. Articles will boost SEO.

If you bookmark your articles, your Web Properties, and your mainsite once, you will rapidly gain positions in keywords.

Of course, when you have automated content in Web Properties, have a cheap article writer and a Y!A autoposter, you will be able to do this for a lot more niches.

I can help you set up a blueprint for whatever you want to do, if you so desire.

That's all for now.

~ Iced

NOTE: You should focus on one niche with different keywords with your articles, main sites and web properties. With High Index marketing via Y!A, you can also directly promote TinyUrl'd clickbank/PayDotCom/MarketHealth products (Affiliate marketing, works for anything).

NOTE2: Wow, with the information I shared now, if I combined it and added to it with direct examples and screenshots, I would get about 100-300 thanks in the Money Making board. Lol.

I couldn't find it, so I made one for you:

a44uch5examplesheet.jpg

I hope that clears it up. Squidoo links to 1 web property, 2 web properties link to 1 squidoo, 5 articles per squidoo per week, 1-3 articles per week to web properties, everything links to main page, optionally some articles as well, but I advise you not to.

You can make larger linkwheels by merging them.

I dont no what to say except wow.. LOL and thanks! thats hard core as!:D

I kinda knew what i was doing with article marketing but still had my doubts... BUT NOW im certain on how to progress with this. I think this summed up what every1 was saying in this thread LOL.

I have been posting my articles to 5 article directories because i always thought posting anymore was stupid. I never did any Y/A but i will get on it and link them back to forwarded domain...ofcourse providing quality content :D. I shouldnt post them to articles?

That Diagram you provided is major help. Im about to print it out and post it up infront of my computer soo THANK YOU! The first LW i did i was kind of demotivated for it because I saw so many people doing it because it was so simple( i know this shouldnt affect me but it just made me feel cbf because i dont like doing 2.0 properties).

However with this 1 i will work it head on because even tho its simple, its takes a lot more time and dedication than the original 1 and i am going to ASSUME from what i have read in other forums and this one that alot of ppl will just read it and skip it or read it, try it and forget it. Only a small handful will read it and do it.

I am about to finish an article, and post them up. I wil then go back give the LW manual a read to remember the basics and start my first proper LW.

Question
Can the Main Page be a forwarded domain?

Thanks again Iced you have helped clear up a lot of confusion that i had in the back of my head.

Tssen

Ok so todays been really interesting. I feel like i understand a lot more now... I also feel like i know where im heading as in i dont feel that confused and dont feel like im guessing all the time.

So today i woke up at 4 ish LOL mad sleeping timetable.

I started around 6ish.

From 6 till about 8 i was able to get all my backlinking done (4 accounts)... I think i can reduce it to an hr and 1/2 if i concentrate.

Had dinner after that and talked to the gf till 11 00.

from 11 00 till now (4am)

I wrote 4 articles today for my 3rd niche. I posted 2 articles for my 2nd niche that i wrote yesterday to ezine and 2 articles that i wrote to my 3rd niche to ezine also. I will post them to other article directory sites tomorrow.

Anyway after that i read thorugh iced post and it was able to clarify up so much for me.:D

From 2 30 till 3 40 i was doing 1 LW...took me long time huh. I only have 5 2.0 properties up because wordpress is being gay and i keep getting error...so tomorrow i will try again or pick another 2.0 prop. I have not linked them togther yet and i will do that tomorrow (sound familiar? haha)

ANDDDDD I am using dup content...just cut and paste from ezine. I see that since i am not linking my props to the articles it should be fine right? or correct me if im wrong anyone? Ofcourse i know unique articles will be better but I just wanted to get my first LW up and running asap so i can get better at it.

I have pinged them (using pingler) and sent RSS feeds using Howies pinger service (except for wp cause its being F*kn gay and weebly cause i cant seem to find it).

Oh yeah i also have Iced diagram up on my wall now LOL :D. I will finish this LW tomorrow and include the squidoos. I will link them all up after i have the squidoos done.

Do i link them with hyperlink texts within each article?

Iced if you read this can you tell me with the squidoos...do i make 3 seperate accounts or do i just make 3 seperate lenses? Thanks!

I hope this is easy to understand because i try to write as much detail as i can for you guys.

Anyway im tired and want to sleep

have a gnight guys ( first day of semester 2 tomorrow :))

What program was it you made that in anyways? Just curious.

It's bubbl.us V 2.0 Beta. It's a site. I can't run graphic mapping design programs, and this is one of the most lightweight applications online ever. You'll love it when you try it. You can't host Beta 2 Images on their site, though, so I just dl'ed and uploaded it to ImageShack.

I saw your linkwheel, TSSen, and I must say, it's awe-inspiring how much work you can pull in 1-2 days. As I said, if only I had that type of dedication.

I take it that this is the regular linkwheel from the e-book, correct?

It looks fine, but I do have a few pointers.

1. Have the duplicated content proofread (I can't do that at the time; I don't even feel like working for myself.), so the linguistic usage is optimal.

2. Have the first paragraph link to the MAIN PAGE, and not another linkwheel page.

Suppose you were reading one of these SEO linkwheels; would you close the tab if the next page has identical content? Thought so.

So in case a visitor happens to stumble upon a linkwheel, at least make sure he comes to the page he's looking for. It's tiny changes like this one that can up your visitor count greatly.

Your .info domain is a good one. Your niche is tiny though, so you might want to not expand on this niche with linkwheels, but instead update it regularly with articles, and work with a new niche as well.

The main site needs better capitalization of words and punctuation. This refers to the titles and subtitles, not the content, which is fine.

And lastly, you need to make a reference to your menu bar or link to some of the possibilities, because most people on the internet are dumb, and need to be spoonfed information on where to go.

That's about all I can think off right now, I'll check back again tomorrow, so keep giving us updates. If you need any help, I'm here.
