Ok im going to post up a journal here guys. I hope you dont mind.
The point of this journal is for me to grow in IM over my Uni life (which finishes roughly this time next yr :)) .

I have never started a proper journal b4 so bear with me. I started IM in Feb by TOTAL mistake and 6 months later its led me to earning a couple hundred online (not much but enough to know it works). I actually stopped at the beginning of May because of exams which were in june...(lesson learnt- study throughout the semester and not the month b4!!). SO im on holidays now and id like to get into it!

So my goal is to make 500 by the end of July can i do it? I believe i can! Actually I have confidence in my self that i can make more because i want this so badly especially with my family history (not going into detail but you guys get the point).

I plan to achieve this goal with article marketing (using clickbank products). I was going to go to other affiliate sites but everyone says that clickbank is the best place to start....so i would like to earn a good income from there b4 i go anywhere else.

So far out of 6 months with IM my strength is that i can pump out articles. At first it took me ages but now i can pump out maybe 2-4 in 1 hr if im determined. Not much strengths but I think i got knowledge on the way!

How do i plan to get to 500 by July? So far what i have thought is:
    -Find 3-5 niches
-within each find 5-10 keywords each keyword consisting of :
. "true comp" < 10k maybe < 20k (you guys help me out here)
. without quotes <500k or <1mill (again help me out)
    . Searched over 300 times a month

-Each niche i will either ATTEMPT to build a landing page with Dreamweaver Or i will forward a domain name to the sales page.

    - Backlink my articles using angelas packets...but im not sure about that.. if some one can clarify this question for me --> So many people use her packets will google do something about this? Or am i able to use them without getting penalized?

    - Thinking of signing up to linkjuice but not sure.

I DONT know how to use a blog or wordpress  AND i dont no the point of it...haha so if someone could help me out there or point me to a useful guide then that would be great!

My goal overall from 28/06/09 to 28/06/10 i would like to achieve are:
    - 1k a week
    -able to build websites
    - able to do PPC
    - Pro at SEO

Sorry for the long post LOL but id thought id make a lasting first impression for you guys and let you know i dont plan to drop this journal anytime soon.

    Cheers

    Tssen

P.S I would love help on the way!

P.S.S If anyone wants to join me on my journey then your definitely welcomed to.

Ok So this is day 1.

My goals for the day are to:

    - pick 2 more niches
    - find 5-10 keywords ranging less than 15k "true comp" and something less than 1 mill overall.

Once i find the keywords im going to look around seeing what article directory is most used so i can avoid it.

So as an example if i will type something like this into google

site:ezinearticles.com intitle:"keyword" and if it comes back with more than 5 results i will try and for something with less. Probably goarticle.

Can someone tell me how long it takes goarticle to get indexed? Im actually new to it!

I will edit this after im doine =]

    Good Luck...

When I was a newbie here I thought about the exact same thing, that I would make $1k a week doing blogs... However, I was dead wrong. After 2 months, I finally found what's best for me. I hope you succeed where I failed.

Thanks for the post! Feel more motivated :)

So today I found 2 niches that I will do.

Each one I found 5 keywords most are under 500k without quotes and are under 15k with quotes. I have a few that have over 1 mill without quotes but not stressed bout that i think i can to to google top 3.

I also wrote out 3 articles for 1 niche targeting 3 sperate keywords and 4 in the other niche. I will do the other keywords tomorrow. Should i make seperate pen names for each niche or should i stick them all in 1?

I Haven't posted them yet because i haven't bought a domain name but thats where i was hoping some of you guys could give me a bit of advice.

Should i buy a .info or a .com. So far Im planning to just forward the domain names to the sellers site.

Tomorrow I was planning to look up wordpress and blogger. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction tonight b4 i start tomorrow because I have absolutely no idea about it.

    Cheers

    Tssen :)

So today what i did was not much... Ive actually just been looking through th BHW forums and all i can say is that im in love with it :).

Today I was looking up the Linkwheel. I think its pretty interesting and i might start it soon. ( I need to sit back tomorrow and actually draw out my own and expand on it because I am usually late to the party and this method has probably been used and tossed around like a 50 yr old hooker like many methods out there.)

The only way i can think of using this is to go the extra step and LW the whole thing. Can i use my main focus hub as an article on ezine? Or would that be a waste of time?

I still havent bought domain names yet because Im kinda feeling confused about how to approach this atm. But tomorrow I will keep reading the forums and write articles.

I tried to use the crack version of SEnuke but its doing my head in. I cant get it to work!!! V 4.65 if anyone would like to help me with this that would be great if not ill try to figure it out myself from the forums.

Anyone willing to give me advice would be great.

I'm starting off too so dont have actual experience to back my post up but will attempt to answer your questions based upon what I feel is the majority of other posters in other threads (I surf here a LOT).

1: .info vs .com. Doesnt matter too much. The keywords in the url matter more then the extension. It might make some difference but there are enough people saying .info can make money too. The fact that .com is so used will mean you have to get some funky weird url which may cause more damage then .info would do.

2: site:ezinearticles.com intitle:"keyword". I hadnt seen that before and played around with it. Thanks for that tip thats a real useful way to see how much competition and activity is already done.

3: About SENuke. I see more and more people advising to do everything manually first to get a better understanding of the process. And then to automate it later. For the time being I am staying away from all the automated programs for a number of reasons
One is to see what works and what doesnt fro SEO. I dont want to waste time and money learning a program that wont contribute much. The second reason is if I dont understand the basics of whats going on then I wont really know why a program is failing to do what its supposed to do. I have read too many threads where people are having problems with a program or a cracked version has some broken feature that has to be worked around.

Good thread. Keep up with it.

Thanks rhianni32 for the advice. I will go buy a few .info to see how i go. I wont be touching SENuke for a while since installing the crack was doing my head in LOL usually i do pretty well with other cracks but i had no idea what this one was talking about!

    Ill post my update tonight

I was reading the forum and I have found pretty cool stuff. So today I turned off my msn (first time ever) and also my music  and then i timed my self writing an article. I can write a 400 word article in about 10 minutes quality is good i think but always room for improvement.

Also today I bought a a software called power article rewriter. Ive been playing with that heaps and its pretty interesting. Today i just spend alot of time playing around with that and surfing this forum.

I was able to write up 5 articles and have 6 rewrites with about 30% uniquiness (took me F*cking agessssssssssssssssssss).

Today i figured out how i was going to do my Linkwheel and tomorrow i will begin. Would it be a waste of time to have your main focus hub an article? Or a page thats been forwarded? I was looking through the threads but i couldnt really see anything. If no one replies i guess i might just test it out.

Ok so tomorrow I plan it to be a pretty big day.

For my First niche I have 26 articles up. I want to make a Linkwheel for atleast 5 of those articles tomorrow and tweak/play with it during next week so it looks kinda of natural . Since these articles are live I will be posting them to other directories too.

For the LW m going to try not to use DUP content and get atleast 6 30% rewrite per article, i hope thats enough. It actually took me some time to get to 30% today for 1 article but i guess its just practise.

Go to the downloads and get "how to write an article in seven minutes". It is good but he also lays out how to turn one article into 8. You could use those formats for your different spokes. Just rewrite them from the information you have and from memory and it all should be original.

I think thats the right attitude. .info sites are one freaking dollar. Try it and see. Heck maybe I am wrong and it will totally get no results. Worse comes to worse you get a new .com and just copy everything over.

You have the right attitude. Just gotta jump in and do it.

26 articles seems a bit overkill. I presume these are respun from your original so that you can post them on 26 sites?

You can also try CJ products with article marketing and Link wheel, may be not now but at a later stage, the competition on keywords is less there, and you can be on first page pretty quickly.

Great that you are making a the effort to keep going and make a difference.

However, I think you should create your own personal blog and keep track there. This will build you a following that you can keep making sales from in the future.

Yup i was planning to move onto that after ive stabilized clickbank. Heaps of ppl say clickbank is good for practise and so on so that was my plan :)

Yeah that was 26 original articles but only in 1 directory (ezine) but now ive been playing around with other article directories. I was ment to post some of them out to other directories today but been abit busy.

I dl the pdf. Its interesting and i will give it a try and see how i go haha. I think it would be good to have 100% uniqueness so i will give give it a go to test the waters out with dup and uni. Im getting confused with which account is which now and tracking will do my head in a bit too but yeah.

So today i did 2 LW not 5 but its ok. I havent connected them yet. I will do that in time just to make it look a bit natural.

I also bought 2 .infos and forwarded them to the seller. I posted 6 articles up today. 2 on ezine and 4 on goarticle (1 niche).

The other niche i will post tomorrow waiting for the forwarding to actually work b4 i send my article to goarticle.

I think 26 articles on my first niche was a bit overkill considering it only brought me like 5 sales. But the gravity was high so i dont no why. Maybe my website was shit if someone could pm to look at it that would be good. I think i can convert it but i just dont no the angle atm.

Alsoo i cant get my articles up high on google. Ive tried backlinking them with angelas backlinks and now i dont no what else to do with it. arghh i was reading around and many ppl say do bookmarking so i will give that try tomorrow.

Anyway im off to sleep and i will continue tomorrow

    night

I took the week end off. So today I have 2 extra niches. :)

Anyway i did keyword research and got 10 keywords each. Comp is under 10k and searched over 300 times a month.

I also redid my resource box for 14 articles on my first niche. It hasn't been accepted yet but when it does will bookmark them and backlink them slowly with angela and pauls backlinks that i found here .

I was feeling kind of lost about IM actually on the weekend thats why i didnt do much. But i think i gotta suck it up and keep going.

Anyway post my update around this time tomorrow =D

You are already onto your next couple niches?
What all did you do for the first ones? If I am reading everything correctly you setup some landing pages created with Dreamweaver for clickbank affiliates. Then you made some articles to direct traffic.
    I have lots of questions...
Which article sites? How is the traffic so far? What is a resource box that is inhibiting you from starting up your backlinks?

Hi sorry for not being so clear about it.

I had a niche that i set up in march. I have about 26 or so articles for it (all of them were unique and ONLY posted to ezine).

I was getting a couple of sales for it and then it stopped. My CTR was at 30% and dropped to 22% and now they are hardly getting viewed (probably because i havent backlinked much to it).

So yesterday i read through my articles and the resource box (1st niche) seemed kinda fake like an ad. So yesterday i fixed up my resource box to make it look good (which i think it does now) and i also changed my title to make it sound more interesting. I am still waiting for them to get accepted before i post them out to other article directories and bookmark them etc.

From google analytics which i installed in (june 20th) I have had 68 visitors.

    • Referring Sites 56.00 (65.12%)
    • Direct Traffic 24.00 (27.91%)
    • Search Engines 6.00 (6.98%)
With that i have no sales so its time to rewrite my landing page for it because i dont think it sells. It actually is quiet boring.

I have 3 other niches but at this point in time i am not heavily concentrated on them. I have bought .infos for 2 of them and i have forwarded them to the merchants page. I also have articles written and posted to ezine for them and i am still waiting for them to get accepted. When they do i will backlink them asap.

Sorry if i have been unclear about anything. Ask me if your still confused about anything.

That clears things up for me thanks.

I think you are on the right track with multiple article sites its something I am working towards too. Ezine is great and sure they have an Alexa rating below 200 but you are still limited to only however many people are there. Hubpages (A:360), Zimbio (A: 395), and Squidoo (A:457) all have excellent traffic and internal search engines. I know peopel focus on google page rank but I want traffic. I want to be on the sites people are using and seeing so the alexa raiting seems to me to be important.

How many of your 26 articles were the same keyword? I am thinking that a person only needs 1 article per 1 keyword phrase per site. Anything more and you are spending time writing/spinning when you could be working on backlinks or other stuff.

I agree with only going for 1 keyword phrase per site. You want to focus on getting that page into the SERPs. If you overload articles with the same keyword then you have to spread the love and end up being counter-productive.

haha well some keywords i had 3-5 articles for and some i had 1 article LOL! But that was when i was beginning but i am doing 1 article per key word now since i got confirmation from ezine.

There were lots of ppl saying ezine articles dont accept dup content blah blah and some ppl say they could. So i msged them and they say you dont need to rewrite your article or anything if you going to send to other directories just try to have your same pen name incase they need to associate it to you in the future. But ofcourse changing a bit will be so much better for the search engines.

    :)

Anyway all my articles where i changed the resource box and title got accepted today so i will be posting them to other article sites and bookmarking them etc.

    :)
