My successful workflow/hack with twitter to gain traffic

I got some viral content website.
te script scrape & post new content every hours
http://www.damnhole.com

i open a twitter account https://twitter.com/damnhole_com and write simple php script
that upload a tweet every hours with random link.

the now the hack:
before any push i scrape from few sources the most viral hashtags in the moment and append 3 of them to any post my script push to twitter.

the result:
up tp 200 click per days... screenshot attached

Just a question: you don't get negative reactions or report from your followers when they see (for example) the hashtag "benzemasextape" linked to an article about a cute puppy?

good job, I've been thinking about doing something like this using tweeter and tumblr but have never take action, I will have to stop procrastinating and create soe tweeter accounts and manage it with massplanner and see how it goes.

Nice guide. Getting clicks on Twitter is like trying to spot a unicorn. lol. I'm sure if you are pushing the right product your clicks are way better. I just suck at Twitter. Always have.

Not really an expert. I just know one or two things, i'm in a love and hate relationship with Twitter since quite some time now, but recently they have changed a lot of things, so it's almost back to square one.

Anyway, you don't really need followers, i guess it's better if you have some, because if they like or RT your tweet, it has a bigger chance to rank, but i ranked tweets without having a single or just very little amount of followers. Sometimes tweets go viral on their own, i've never found the explanation to that other than it always happened to mildly popular hashtags, not trending hashtags, but hashtags with less, but still nice traffic.

Yes, you got that one right, but personally i don't think that's a good idea to misuse trending hashtags, it's even in the Twitter rules:
"Spam: You may not use the Twitter service for the purpose of spamming anyone. What constitutes “spamming” will evolve as we respond to new tricks and tactics by spammers. Some of the factors that we take into account when determining what conduct is considered to be spamming are:
if you post multiple unrelated updates to a topic using #, trending or popular topic, or promoted trend;"
The punishment is being ghosted from the search at least for 24 hrs, i guess when it becomes a habit, you'll get excluded for good.

I'd recommend using hashtagify.me and ritetag to be able select the best performing hashtags for your niche and write kickass tweets.
I can imagine even if you get away for a while with using trending hashtags, you'll get pretty untargeted traffic unless on the rare occasions when the hashtags are relevant.

the use of followers is not that they will fav/rt your tweet. it's between you and twitter. you get more respect from twitter when you have followers.

to me, it's all about making top tweets. i did make top tweets with 0 followers, BUT chance is that you dont. (50% if you are lucky.) you can only CONSISTENTLY make top tweets with certain amount of followers. on top of that, if you want sticky/featured tweets, you have to have 'significant' amount.
