My successful workflow/hack with twitter to gain traffic

I got some viral content website.
te script scrape & post new content every hours

i open a twitter account https://twitter.com/damnhole_com and write simple php script
that upload a tweet every hours with random link.

the now the hack:
before any push i scrape from few sources the most viral hashtags in the moment and append 3 of them to any post my script push to twitter.

the result:
up tp 200 click per days... screenshot attached

I heard before that most of the trending hashtag clicks come from bots.
This was a few years ago.

I was using similar method some time ago with trending tags, I could generate thousands clicks to my site in hours.
But then twitter banned my site and I never tried to do it again.
I don't remember how much exactly I made with this method, I think $70.

I can try to find my script. I was using bitly with autogenerating random links.
And I was working with twitter api.

if you rely on hashtags, you don't need a single follower
and what phatzilla mentioned is true though, it's not really a new thing and that many people abused and abusing it until present day, that they put it in their TOS

i think you could tweet more, definitely not in every minute, but let's say 4-5 times in an hour, it's still not too pushy and you can quadruple your traffic and while i was writing this, i noticed that you lied lol, you tweet more than once per hour, according to your screenshots, it's more like 5-6 times per hour

also, have you tried tweets with only 1 or 2 hashtags? according to studies, those tweets get the most, 20% more engagement which contain only 1 or at most 2 hashtags, anything more than that and you're losing engagement
