How much - Facebook Ads?

hey guys,

Been thinking about giving this whole dropshipping thing a try, using Facebook Ads and Shopify. Question: how much are you guys spending, roughly, on Facebook Ads? obviously I want to keep the ad expenses as low as possible just starting out.

The minimum FB ad spend is $1/day - do you think I could get away with just $1/day just starting out, if the ads are targeted properly and product is good? If not, what do you think is minimum necessary FB ad spend?

I wouldn't recommend having at least 500$ when testing fb ads!! With dropshipping its all about finding the right product which sells!

Yes, thanks, I did watch his videos. But $5 seems pretty high - that can add up pretty quickly, and if no conversions, I'm taking a big risk. What about starting at $2 daily maximum? Have you had success with $5-10? Please share your numbers

5$ is not allot. If it doesnt work you can always cut it.

So how long would you let the ad run at $5 before deciding it's working or not working ? A week? Month? Less?

Try min 3-4 variant of ads(differ targeting, Ad copy, Graphics etc), Start with min $5 per ad per day and give 48 hours to FB ad system to optimize your ads. Optimized ads will give best performance. After 48 hours, remove non-performing ads. Then Scale down ads, try to lower budget to $2-3 per day for performing ads and watch.

in Frank's article (http://www.onlinedimes.com/how-to-make-money-online-2016/) he also talks about "conversion fee"... is this in addition to the daily ad spend fee? So, if a conversion occurs, you're also paying FB an additional "conversion fee" ? Someone please clarify.

so i started a dropping store and i started posting facebook ads and all i my ads were fine a second ago and suddenly the all got disapproved saying "Ad Can't Run: Update Website URL(s)"
