I'm going to start reviewing every content BST

I don't think that would be allowed. Reviews of services have to be left in the thread.

I agree! if you are a mod, you are going to get better material, but by saying you have a stamp you are now also considered for reviewing. The anonymous suggestion is a must. and what makes people not just copy the stamp? Are you going to keep track of all these threads?

Can I start by saying the bacon flavored wine I sell is approved?

Just saying, unless you can get the mods to integrate it into the levels or something, that might be worth it. Like a secret shopper badge that services can receive.

Holy junk that is a fantastic idea! Mods should do secret shops on members and give badges of passed shops. Oh, I like that idea, imagine the value that would add to marketplace threads....
 
I think its better to do it as a "MISTERY SHOPPER".After that you can leave your seal and your detailed feedback( revealing the username and order details you have used, to order the service and the outcome) on the BST.If you do it this way,then i definitely think your seal will have much more importance.

This was just an announcement. I'm not actually reviewing anything here.
 
BTW mods, if you want to close this thread, I don't care. I understand it's a pain to monitor it.
 
I personally would like a tab at the top of the sales page that just leads to everyone reviews, this would be really handy especially if a sales page is 100+ long. You see sellers copy pasting the best of the best reviews, but you never see the negative ones posted, so you have to trawl through pages and pages of 'please send me a review copy' before finding the information you want. When posting a review a customer could easily tick a box that says 'review' and that gets shifted onto the review tab. Would be easy for us then to judge a seller, and give the seller to respond and maybe improve their service.

P.S. I know that you can do a search in a thread for 'review' but not everybody uses it in their review posts.

As for seals of approval, here's mine ;)

There are content services from 2012 that haven't been reviewed by a mod in 4 years, for example. The writers and quality will have surely pivoted by now, so that's where I'll come in a re-test it.

Also, I'll account for things such a pricing for what you get. If you're paying $15 for an article, I'll only give it a stamp if it's worth at least $15.

Do you think that content writers who are smart enough to provide good content to the mod for review wont provide you the same for your stamp, and that too now when you have announced that you will review the content
 
Great Idea.
Do it anonymously and write a honest review. Good luck with this and as time goes by, maybe your badge will gain some authority. This won't happen over one night. Just keep going and it will pay off.
I recently bought few services from BHW marketplace, and the problem is if you leave a negative feedback, you will get flamed by the seller and asked to put it down. That's how it works here.
 
I would have figured the more effective way of doing something like this would have been to order and review several/many different providers over a few weeks/months and THEN posted this as your 'seals' were added to the BSTs. People would either accept your 'seal' as a worthy opinion or not - BUT they would be assured that there was zero chance that someone was tipped off that they were being reviewed for something like this.

Then... wait several months before doing the next round. At that point, you'd have to try harder to remain anonymous because of the thread that you'd posted by that point...

At this point, if BST owners are paying attention, they realize that they may be reviewed sometimes soon... especially ones that have popular threads - so they will be on the lookout for it.

Just my thoughts... but Bz put it well... The guru playbook is well worn but generally followed by non-gurus.

Funny thing is, one of the guys who thanked your post actually knew I was a top 25 on here when I bought his services, and he still had no interest in working things out with me. I would think buying under my own name would bring bias too, but it seems some sellers, it doesn't.

He's purely agreeing with you for the sole purpose of going against me.

Whatever that may be? Way to feign to modesty to then present your own importance, to then follow it up with persecution bias. You're the typical guru with a fostered narcissistic personality disorder. You don't do anything from an altruistic perspective, it's all done to build your brand and gain attention. You do it here, on other forums, on your own sites, on reddit, on youtube; you are a transparent stereotype. If you stick to the trend that thousands of others have tread before you; it won't be long before you ruin it all and get ghosted.

As for the guru stuff, I am going to roll this out on Warrior Forum too, the home of gurus, thus why the sticker says "marketplace" rather than "BHW."
 
Having the seal on your website is OK OP if you are going down the Guru route, but if you stick them in threads it will look suspicious.
Will people start offering you money to be approved and receive a seal? Bungs and backhanders will be offered.
When I first opened the thread I thought your intention was to purchase every single service and provide an honest review, I think that would have been appreciated by many but the business with the seal just killed it.

You're right, it's a very fine line I have to walk. You know your stuff, and you know I'm on every piece of media there is out there. It has it's advantages, and making bold claims and calling people out is an easy way to gain popularity, but it has it's costs for sure. There's a certain group of people that will begin to hate me, and there's another group that will join me. You look at Donald Trump, half of the US hates him and half loyally love him. I'll be careful when doing this and appreciate your insight, and the badge might not be a hit, but I do believe in controversy to a certain extent.

I'm unsure if I'll go forward with the seal. That was more of a last minute photoshop adventure to try to spark some hype after writing up an article on this. I'm not sure if I I'll be purchasing all of the BSTs, but I sure do have a large list of who I've used.
