I got scammed on PayPal

I wasn't scammed on BHW but I can't think of any other place where I could get some help. So, I hope, someone will help me solve this problem.

I sold an Instagram account (for 3000 AUD) and made an agreement with the buyer:

He would transfer the first half of the money, I would give him the access to the account/mail and he would transfer the second half (last) of the payment.

Though, he refuses to pay the other half stating that the contract doesn't include the date when I should receive the second half.

We signed a contract and attached it to the invoice. That my first time doing such thing and I created the invoice of 1500 AUD. I didn't know about partial payment.

This is our contract. Sorry, if this isn't the right place to post this. I really want to get my money.

Overview of contract
Art. 1 Contract Overview:
This is a contract made between the Seller, (my name) ([email protected]) , and the Buyer, (his name) ([email protected]), for the sale of seller’s Instagram account ‘'@myinstagram'. (on Instagram)
which has currently (follower number) followers and (number) posts.
Art. 2 Product Description:
The seller sells the access and complete ownership to the Instagram account ‘'@myinstagram'. to the buyer (his name).
Art. 3 Price and Payment:
Buyer agrees to pay to seller the purchase price of a total of $3250 Australian Dollars to be paid in PayPal
account: [email protected].
The buyer (his name), ([email protected]) will deposit the $1500 AU into the PayPal
account [email protected]. Once credentials are sent and correct (see below), the remaining
$1750 AU will be deposited into [email protected] PayPal account.
Art. 4 Delivery:
Once $1500 AU has been deposited by (his name) to the seller ([email protected]), the seller
will provide the buyer with the password needed to get access to Instagram account ‘'@myinstagram' together
with the password of the email address, with which the Instagram account ‘'@myinstagram' is confirmed.
Art. 5 delivery:
Credentials of '@myinstagram'.’ are to be sent immediately via email to (his name)
at [email protected] after $1500 AU deposit has been deposited into the
account [email protected].

There's also a word file attached to the invoice with our signatures.

Contact Instagram to reset your password as long as you have access to the phone number that was used to verify that account. Simple.

Why don't you take the account back? There's quite a few nice ways to do it. Do you still have access to the first original email you made the account with?

Contact Instagram to reset your password as long as you have access to the phone number that was used to verify that account. Simple.

I have access to the number I used to register the account. For now, he has changed the number and added his own. Can I Still reset it?

I contacted Instagram about this, explained the situation, told them that I have every proof they need and that I can provide any information about the account (when it was created (month, year), on what phone, etc).

I got a cold answer, "we can't help you with this"

OP, you are fucked, move on.
Selling IG accounts is against IG ToS, IG and paypal won't help you with this.
The only option might be to contact IG claiming your account was hacked.

He told them what he did, so he can't even claim the account was hacked. He fucked himself twice.

PP does not cover digitally transferred goods OP. So they aren't going to interfere either. If I were you, I'd be more worried about him trying to do a chargeback than him paying you the remainder of what he owns you.

Reset the email password and then reset the IG password.

this is an option as you can even claim back gmail accounts even if the password and all recovery details have been changed as long as you know the dates and previous passwords which you do

If you report this to paypal, they may be able to help you. They can force the other party to pay the rest if you show them this proof. I've done it so many times. They're always willing to help.

Do you have an agreement in contract, that you will not say to IG that you sell account? If no, go and say to IG support that this account was sold by me to this person, you can see log that IP, password and email changed. Please ban this account

Lol, I never knew you could do that. My recommendation for resetting the email password went as far as using recovery details only to do so. I thought passwords were encrypted and Google didn't have access to them? How can they know what passwords you used in the last months/years?!

one thing is certain they know, since in the recovery process they specifically ask you for the last passwords you remember
I think you can simply match md5 for example with another exact md5 string without knowing the translated unencrypted version

How can they match the correct hash code to the correct password? If they don't know the actual un-encrypted passwords and all they have are md5-s, then if I tell them I used password X in the past and I have changed my password 5 times in the last year, how can they match password X with the correct md5 between those 5 codes that they have? It doesn't make sense.

Edit: What I mean is they can't generate a hash code without knowing the un-encrypted password in the first place.
