Hi, today i logged into my instagram account and my top feeds were from
1 day and few others from 2 days ago. could this be a glitch? or is it turning to look like
facebook? anyone else see this?

Yeah, I've seen this as well. It's pretty frustrating

Yeah, they are owned by Facebook, and Facebook made a lot of money after changing their timelines. So IG is doing the same thing.

Yes, they announced this a few month ago, that the feed will be changed to work in the same way as Facebook. They have been rolling it out slowly, so not all accounts have been changed at the same time.

Facebook and instagram is a different market.

Facebook can be accessed from computers and gadgets, while instagram only android phones

Despite such, facebook is unmatched in many ways

Instagram can be accessed through the web as well... And any smartphone, not only android based.

How is this even possible?

Instagram in my country is not popular.
Unbeaten on facebook

There are countries that do not use smartpon, they still use the BlackBerry.

I do not know if instagram can be accessed via computer.
Instagram-like twitter in any form, and as fanspage

No wonder I've been trying to access Instagram from my iPhone for a year now and it's not working. Thanks for letting me know, I'll go make the switch ASAP.

This already happened to me a couple of weeks ago. It means that Instagram is applying the algorithm based feed to more accounts. For my IG accounts, there has been a decrease in the amount of engagement that I get but it also seems less critical what time I post things to IG.

Keeping in mind that Instagram is owned by Facebook, it's inevitable for this to happen. They are just waiting for it to get as huge as can be, to make it an essential channel for businesses and now they are going to filter the feeds and start charging money. That's how you make billions. And we'll move on to the next thing in the meantime which is more exploit-friendly :)

I can confirm this , my feed has changed also to totally non chronological order .

Bumping this as it's been two years since the last post, but I think this question is more relevant now than ever.

What is everyone's thoughts? I've got clients with insane growth goals, and I am looking for language to explain to them how this isn't the Golden Era anymore, especially with business accounts. I feel like they are going the way of Facebook business accounts: Pay to Play. I just want to tell them: "Instagram is turning into Facebook. If you don't allocate some budget to promoted posts, I can't guarantee the engagement you're used to seeing."
