Hi BHW,
So, here it goes, I'll mark this day with my very first IM journey. I'll try to document here every step I take in my IM adventure and hopefully it will benefit both me and the BHW community, to which I owe so much.
A little about me:
I guess my current user profile stats (2 Messages, 0 everything else) best reflects my present situation. I am starting this journey from scratch with almost no resources, just the "I can and I will" mindset which I believe it to be key for success.
I've lurked these forums in the past years as well and besides learning a lot about IM and things that I didn't even know were possible, the idea that I can gain my financial independence doing IM was strongly grounded somewhere in the back of my mind, thinking that I will eventually try my hand at it or if everything else fails I have IM as plan B.
I know there is a lot of work ahead of me and I am no stranger with what the first steps feel like in the beginning of a long road ahead. A few years back I managed to have pretty good results working as a freelancer on elance (which has rebranded in the meantime as upwork). I started with a clean profile with no portfolio, no experience, and relentlessly applying to available jobs. It took about a month to land my first task (worked about 18 hours on it for some 20$ - fees) and after getting some positive feedback for a job well done, things snowballed from there and about 1 year later I had about 4-5 regular clients with whom I developed a strong professional relationship and I was earning 1,5K$/month just from them. For me, at that point, this was a success.
Unfortunately, life has its mysterious course and unexpected turns and I was completely cut from my work for a good period of time. Skipping forward a few years, here I am, ready to start again.
It's been two months now since I am ready and available to work, but somehow I just procrastinated all this time (with some utility hopefully because I procrastinate mostly by reading the 'Making Money' and 'IM Journeys' threads here in BHW) (I think most of you are no strangers to what I'm talking about). Added some paralysis by analysis to that and it seemed that I was stuck in the twilight zone of 'never really starting anything' even though everything I needed to start was already available to me thanks to the numerous amazing threads (journeys and methods) from members here on the forum (to which I will surely make reference later on in this journey). Well, all this came to an end yesterday when the spark of motivation finally ignited my 'let's do this' script
. I was reading deltaone's journey here, which is no older that a few days and his energetic start gave me the boost I needed. Thanks, deltaone. I took your advice and started this .
Why 333$/day? A funny simple reason, deltaone said about himself he has been self-employed for 15 years (so 15 years of experience) and in his IM quest he aims for 5000$/day. Well, I have only 1 year of experience (the elance endeavour I was telling you about) so it seems logical that I would also aim for 15 times fewer results. So 5000 divided by 15 is 333.(3)$. Simple as that. And on more serious key, 333$ is a high enough target for me to keep me going and making sure I put in the best kind of work I can (quantitative and qualitative).

I was telling you I am starting from scratch. Right now I have no money to invest in this and I am trying to do all the possible work myself. Everything from writing articles (though tbh I kind of struggle with this since English is not my native), setting up a website, designing logos, working with video and audio if needed (I can work my way around with Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audition and some other tools with which I used to work with). My knowledge with them is just above basic but I am eager to learn along the way and get better.

- Set up a website, just like deltaone, I will not make it one niche specific since I want to keep a larger horizon available and adapt with the niches I select along the way, once I find what works best
- Set up and ready social media accounts
- Write about 20-30 quality articles
- Publish and start to grow the social media accounts
