Hey guys,

Is it worth buying those cheap af .xyz domains at all? Cause I registered some site last week with a .space domain, but it just got blocked by facebook. Not sure if it's about the domain extension or some wordpress plugin I used. Since the content was safe for sure.

I know that facebook was blocking .tk domains back then.
So I want to set up a few dozens of sites with .xyz domain. But most of them will be promoted through facebook, so I really need to know that my work won't be in vain only because of the extension.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Greg

Even I got issue with .science and .xyz domain.
I guess fb is blocking direct url's, now I'm using Google URL Shortner and everything is working fine.
Try to do that once?

Well I want them to have sharable articles and post them as a facebook page mostly. So URL Shorteners ain't gonna work, I think. Since people can't use facebook share buttons on the site.

.XYZ isn't as good .IO.

You read stories how often .XYZ's get blocked from Facebook. These domains get spammed to death with borderline unlawful websites.

.xyz extension gives a spammy look to domain IMO. I have never bought these.

Not sure what is the feedback on using the new domain extensions for SEO or ranking but I can say that I got some problem on using them on mailing.

Some spam filters see them as spam and some mx servers don't accept connections from them. When I contacted the admins, they told me that there are many situation when they fail because some database are not updated yet and/or they are commonly use for "blackhat" so they block them by default since there are low chances that they block some good/genuine servers/visitors... etc.

As mentioned I don't really know the implication on SEO and rankking.

Thank you.

I run mail servers for my job by day, we don't accept any of the new TLDs. They are just filled with spam.

from my exp .xyz is an best option for lot of experiment...G treat xyz and com as same be honest interms of indexing and ranking.

Bought an .xyz and used it as a URL shortener for my blog. I'll just wait and see if it can be used for full-blown sites. Well, Google has an .xyz domain (alphabet.xyz) so I think they some potential in it.

bought one .xyz domain and now my site is not shareable on facebook. subdomain which end with .com is better.

i will not waste my time on .xyz as there are few buyers for that, it is just time consuming.
